If you're in the midst of New York Fashion Week and you're lucky enough to be booked to cover and be seen at London Fashion Week, Milan Fashion Week, and Paris Fashion Week non-stop continuously through-out the whole month of September, then you're in the mood for a "complete look" in one whole makeup kit that you can drop in one bag, TSA-hassle free.

You can get a lot of looks, texture, and colors from bold and deep color palettes holding a few shadows and powders than you will from a hefty color box that hold millions but weak shadows that will fade away quickly.  Now, who wants to heave tons of weak colors on one's back jet-packing from one city to another in a nanosecond?

Smashbox's rich and deep color kits pack a wallop of colors that gives you mileage of looks all in one compact, far easier to carry in your purse.

Since each compact carries one single color family, Fade In Eyeshadow Kit is in the green family while Fade Out Eyeshadow Kit carries an array of lilac, purple, and plum, and Ombre Eye and Blush Kit is the more basic but more complete with eye, blush, and lip gloss, you can get plenty of fancy looks that aren't that complicated.  It's the fancy look without the fuss.

Ombre Eyes Kit is a rare kit from Smashbox that comes with a petal pink blush, a Lip Enhancing Gloss in Rose Petal and a pick of two eyeliners, thick classic black Onyx eyeliner or/and Amethyst for a "Purple Rain" look.  The kit also includes a reliable black Full Exposure Mascara.

Smashbox's current brown-eyed friendly, smoky Fade To Black Eyeshadow Palettes are also travel-friendly.

Smashbox's Fade In Jade Green-oriented eyeshadow palette adds a new and fresh dimension to the predictable smoky eye look.  The sparkle replace matte.  The staid stand-bys of neutral browns and greys say good-bye and make room for a KHAKI WITH GOLDEN SHIMMER, that's the iridescent green, the new smokiness for amber, hazel, and blue-eyes.  The black shadow has gold flecks in it.

Smashbox's Fade Out is Prince's "Purple Rain" in an eyeshadow kit.  It runs the whole purple rainbow spectrum from the icy and delicate lilac to standard purple to smoky plum then ends with a "Studio 54" worthy black embedded with cranberry sparkles.  The iridescent jade green is replaced by a mesmerizing violet with crystalline sheen.

Both eyeshadow kits in Smashbox's Fade To Black Collection have daytime to evening look.

You can use the lightest shade all-over the eyes then line with the second-darkest shadow for a professional, competent look so you can be taken seriously at the runway shows then glide over an additional layer of the second-darkest shadow over the lower lid, between the upper lash line and the crease for additional depth then rim the lids with the black shadows ingrained with either gold or cranberry pearls.

Shoot, if you're going to Paris or Milan, this scribe heard that the bare but smoky rock n' roll eyes and face are going to be hot.

It's a blatant but bold yet so easy contrast of powdering the entire eye lid with the lightest shadow then lining the eyes with one of the lustrous black shadows for that smudged but sexy rock n' roll eyes.

With eyes this deep, you need to balance out the rest of the face with minimal blush and lush or deep lips, such as Smashbox's deep cranberry "Fade To Black Be Legendary Lipstick" in Black Cherry to balance out the bold minimalist look, or you can go really Sixties or Seventies Boho rocker with the warm-fleshed tone of "Fade To Black Be Legendary Lipstick" in Cognac's in warm raisin where you really emphasize those peepers.

The predominate look through this whirlwind of Fashion Weeks is that slept-in, partying rock n' roll look.  It's a bad habit to actually practice.  You can fake the ill effects by simply washing and pampering your face every night then recreate the look all in one makeup and eyeshadow palettes that you mindlessly drop in one purse.
