Thursday, November 17th kicked the official holiday and shopping season in the heart of Beverly Hills, Rodeo Drive.  From Wilshire Blvd. to Santa Monica Blvd., the entire block of Rodeo Drive was turned into Winter Wonderland block party kicking the glamourous holiday shopping season.

Among a select few, a smaller but no less glamourous fete was happening upstairs at One Rodeo Drive Plaza, an intimate and again, glamourous launch party for Mexican artist and Rodeo Drive love, Glida Garza, attracting the like of former Los Angeles Mayor, Mayor Antonio Villaraigosa and his wife Patricia Govea.

Swear to God, Glida's party guests were the Mexican/Mexican-American version of "Sex and the City" and "Just Like That," the most fashionable and stylish Latins, this scribe has ever encountered.

Asking Glida, how she feels about debuting her art collection on the same night as Rodeo Drive Holiday Lighting Celebration, on One Rodeo Drive itself, she said a few years ago, she was taking Instagram selfies of her on the plaza. Then, this night her "Kings and Queens" collection is being shown at Winn Slavin Art Gallery and on One Rodeo Drive plaza as well.

She's a living proof that dreams do come true.

Since it's the holidays, this scribe gave her a piece of See's Candies hard candy, she likes See's Candies.

The night also featured, a special 6ft “Kings & Queens” holiday painting in the center of Rodeo Drive with Garza’s custom augmented reality of Santa Claus! For the interactive experience, guests used an iPhone to scan the QR code on the art piece and were in awe as they watched the majestic artwork come to life for the holiday season on their devices. This was the first time the Rodeo Drive Celebration included augmented reality in their celebration.

Gilda will donate a percentage of her proceeds to Unidas Por Un Sueño and the Iranian American Woman Foundation.

Those in attendance included former Mayor Antonio Villaraigosa and his wife Patricia Govea. They are the founders of the nonprofit, unidas por un sueño.

Glida's art party started the night early at 5pm but Rodeo Drive Holiday Lighting Celebration's headliners, David Foster and Katherine McPhee closed out the night with a free block party concert for anyone.

AWOLNATION Rock It Out at Hollywood Palladium on Friday, November 11 as part of their “Falling Forward” U.S. tour with special guests Badflower and opening act The Mysterines.

AWOLNATION's lead singer, Aaron Bruno, believes that a band's fifth album should be their last because, afterwards, they don't sound good anymore.

The band's November 11th's concert at Hollywood Palladium one of the stops, on their potential last rour as a band.  Boy, did they rock out!

Their crowd of fans, spanning from single Zoomers, coupled Millennials to Gen-X dads and their Zoomer teen boys (using this concert as first milestone bonding experience) cheered, when they rocked out their hit, "Sail."

The band played a solid string of hits from the past ten years.

However, fans and the band knows the ending is approaching soon, when they'll release their fifth album next year.

This year, AWOLNATION released a cover album, partnering with fellow highly esteemed peers, such as Jewel and Beck, as a tribute and as a divergence.  Plus, this shows that AWOLNATION does a love, a sense of humor, and does have a sense of fun rocking out pop covers from ABBA and Madonna.

AWOLNATION released a covers and collaborations album, MY ECHO, MY SHADOW, MY COVERS AND ME, earlier this year via Better Noise Music which included collaborations with Beck, Jewel, Portugal. The Man, Rise Against, Taylor Hanson, and Brandon Boyd of Incubus, among others. The act also shared a new original track, “Freaking Me Out” in late September 

But hopefully, this gives fans another catch them live on tour before they morph into something else.

Ah, evolution.

Kane Brown's concert for Amazon Music Live this past Thursday will air next Thursday after Amazon Live Football.

 

Debuting and premiering during this weekend's NY Magazine's Vulture Culture Festival, Nat Geo's "Limitless with Chris Hemsworth," started with the first episode on stress and how to use it to your advantage.

Three hours later, Vulture Culture Festival aired the first episode of "Tulsa King"

Both Limitless with Chris Hemsworth on Disney Plus and Tulsa King on Paramount Plus, will officially debut this Thursday, same night as Kane Brown on Amazon Music Live.

Keke Palmer was one of Teen Vogue's headliners this past Saturday. Next Saturday, she'll be Saturday Night Live's guest host.
