The Stars Partied First But Then, Fans Shop FX's "Snowfall" Season 5's Community Pop-Up Shops in a Pop-Up Mall.

 By Laura Medina

To let FX's "Snowfall" fans share in celebrating "Snowfall" returning for Season Five, FX threw a community pop-up shop, actually a pop-up mini mall filled with local neighborhood businesses, some prominent during the Super Bowl, such as Bricks & Woods.  Brick & Woods did a limited edition collaboration with the NFL, for the Super Bowl, intense.

In Season 5 of "Snowfall," Franklin and his family are rich enough profiting on the crack trade to reinvest in local real estate.

To continue the positive, constructive vibe to this very day, after the previous night premiere party with the cast and crew, the sold-out pop-up mall was still brimming with local vendors selling their curated, tasteful wares to "Snowfall" fans.

More than promotional swag and souvenirs, the lucky fans come out with cool items from local businesses that Season 5 of "Snowfall" is promoting, giving back to the community.

Season 5 of "Snowfall" returns to FX, February 23rd. at 7:00pm Pacific Standard Time, starting a fresh, new marathon of Season 5's Episodes 1 and 2 for two hours.

Musicians are Sports Nuts Too. They Got Their Game on, at their Super Bowl Concerts & Parties.

 By Laura Medina

Unless these are musicians' die-hard fans, the majority of people are pleasantly surprised to learn that their favorite musician, singer, and hip-hop artist are sport nuts, off duty.

"Mr. Soft Rock," John Mayer kicked off Super Bowl with his Pandora concert celebrating the Super Bowl.

Bravo's host, Andy Cohen introduced John Mayer.

In 2019 and 2020, the Bud Light Super Bowl Music Fest redefined the role of music at one of the biggest sporting events in the world with unforgettable cross-genre performances from all-star acts. The three-day entertainment spectacular has featured unique and never-before-paired line-ups with artists including Bruno Mars and Cardi B.; Post Malone and Aerosmith; Maroon 5, and Dan + Shay with a surprise performance from Demi Lovato; Ludacris, Ciara, Migos, T.I., Lil Jon, and Young Jeezy; DJ Khaled & Friends Meek Mill, and Megan Thee Stallion; as well as a special night with Guns N' Roses and special guest Snoop Dogg. The New York Times called the Bud Light Super Bowl Music Fest the "Extended Super Bowl Halftime Show" in 2019 and declared the fest an "Epic Bash" in 2020. People Magazine declared the event has "Super Bowl dominance" and Billboard raved about the "All-star lineup."

Bud Light Super Bowl Music Fest series is an emerging unsung gem-pun intended.

For a scribe who covers rising musical talent and festivals, Bud Light Super Bowl Music Fest is great value of a music festival.

Each night of the three nights festival clocks in at three to four hours of Grammy-quality acts and performance.

The first night has Halsey and Machine Gun Kelly.

The second night has Mickey Guyton open for Gwen Stefani, then Gwen Stefani opened then performed with her husband, self-effacing Blake Shelton.  He joked that having to follow his wife was a tough act then asked the audience for a sing-along.

This lasted four hours.

Bud Light Super Bowl Music Fest saved the best for last.

Third and last night was Miley Cyrus and Green Day, the night before the big game.

"Los Angeles is the epicenter of sports and entertainment, and we're thrilled to host this incredible festival for a celebration of everything the city represents," said On Location President, Paul Caine. "This unforgettable staple of Super Bowl weekend anchors an exciting slate of On Location experiences."

"We're absolutely thrilled that our Bud Light Super Bowl Music Fest is returning to bring passionate music and football fans' never seen before performances," said Lane Joyce, Director of Experiential Marketing for Bud Light. "With this year's festival taking place in the iconic Staples Center, we're excited about the line-up of musicians we have brought together across various genres, and can't wait to bring people in Los Angeles even more fun to what is already set to be a big weekend."

"STAPLES Center and L.A. LIVE are incredibly excited and honored to host three amazing nights of music as part of Super Bowl Music Fest," Lee Zeidman, President, STAPLES Center, Microsoft Theater and L.A. LIVE. "We look forward to welcoming music and football fans to downtown as part of Super Bowl week in Los Angeles."

"Bud Light Super Bowl Music Fest has quickly become one of the most anticipated fan events of the week. Three nights of incredible talent at an amazing venue in Los Angeles as the Super Bowl returns to the city for the first time in nearly 30 years will make this year's music fest the most exciting ever," said NFL EVP of Club Business & Events, Peter O'Reilly.

In addition to top-level music talent spanning a range of genres, the festival  features surprise appearances by celebrities and athletes. An array of premium seating is available, including suite and club packages plus options for premium hospitality.

Don't you know Super Bowl parties are also charity events.  It's Hollywood celebrating the Super Bowl. The LA Ram Cheerleaders showed up.

You'll be amazed by how much Hollywood are sports nuts, a nice break from their careers.

Yes, There is Haute Couture and Style During the Super Bowl. That's How Celebrities Show Love.

 By Laura Medina

According to you all fashionistas and stylistos, sports and haute couture do not mix.

To any football fan knows better, the Super Bowl is when true handcrafted haute couture collides with sports in a blasting bedazzling way.

No better than when Los Angeles/Hollywood celebrates hosting the 56th Super Bowl.

What most don't know is that musicians and actors are big sports nuts.  Sports, for them, is a nice break from their careers and talents.  Die hard Snoop Dogg fans knows Snoop Dogg is a PeeWee football coach during his down time and is a football freak.

With Los Angeles hosting the Super Bowl in mostly African-American neighborhood of Inglewood, the locals can't help showing some LA Love and California Love than giving the Super Bowl, the Hollywood Respect and Love, meaning they're showering the Super Bowl and football in style.

During this week's LA edition of Super Bowl Fan Experience, it's dripping in equal fun and style.

Obviously, the Super Bowl's Halftime Show catches fashionistas' eyeballs.  In the heart of the Super Bowl Fan Experience, there's an iconic costume Half Time Show exhibit.  Pure fashion history museum from Katy Perry's Shark to Lady Gaga to The Weekend's ruby blazer, and Prince's Super Bowl Halftime Suit....

Fashionistas' eyeballs will be balling over the exhibit of bedazzled football helmets leading to the engraved Super Bowl rings and the Vince Lombardi Trophy itself, in exhibit.

There are women football fans. They'll be more impressed if you give them a bedazzled NFL helmet, instead of a ring.  Today's young ladies can buy their own rings.  Bedazzled NFL helmets are much more rare and more meaningful.

Women football fan's football allegiance starts from high school to college to adulthood.  This is why collegiate prep is elevated by Vineyard Vine's Super Bowl collection, that is exclusively sold at the main headquarters of the NFL Shop at the Los Angeles Convention Center West Hall, where the Super Bowl Fan Experience is located down the hall, in the East Hall.

Mind you, none of this is sold online.  It's an exclusive, in person shopping at the NFL Shop Headquarters in Los Angeles Convention Center West Hall.

Again, once the Super Bowl is over, so are the clothes. All and everything disappears.

Michael Strahan's Super Bowl 56 Touchdown Satin Jacket is haute couture, very rare and very limited and difficult to find, already sold-out!

Who would had thought New York Giant turned current Good Morning America host,

Michael Strahan was an haute couture fashion designer?!

This is how they show love for the sport. They become fashion designers.

While his mainstream line, http://www.michaelstrahan.com/shop/ , he has his athleisure line, MSX by Michael Strahan, https://shop.michaelstrahan.com/

Wait! Lo and behold, he created an haute couture collection with New Jersey-based graphic artist Brian Begley, just for Super Bowl 56th, that can only be found at the week-long main headquarter NFL Shop.

His limited edition collection, another speak for haute couture,

Men's Super Bowl LVI Starter x MSX by Michael Strahan Blue/Cream Skyline collection is a sequined and hand sewn patch work of California Sky Blue and California Beach Sand Beige bomber and track suit jackets, hoodies, and tee-shirts.  Since Michael specializes in the untapped athleisure men's market, his Men's Super Bowl LVI Starter x MSX by Michael Strahan are all in Men's size.  So ladies, you all may have to down size by one or two sizes down for a proper fit.

Michael Strahan partnered with his former New York Giants colleague Carl Banks on an exclusive Super Bowl LVI collection that brings together their two apparel brands: MSX by Michael Strahan and Starter.

Strahan had worked with G-III, Starter’s manufacturing partner, in 2020 on a collection designed to honor the NFL’s 100th season. The success of that collection led the companies to expand the offering in 2021 to include apparel for all 32 NFL teams. Now Starter has jumped into the action, working with Strahan on an MSX x Starter collaboration.

“The Super Bowl was a significant moment in my career, and since Los Angeles is hosting this year, we knew as a brand that we wanted to go even bigger with our NFL licensed game day apparel,” said Strahan. “We designed loud and proud prints and patterns to represent our excitement.”

Banks, a former Giants linebacker, is president of G-III Apparel Group’s Sports Licensing Division. Strahan was a defensive end for the Giants for 15 seasons and has parlayed his on-field success into a multipronged career in entertainment and fashion. He created his Michael Strahan Collection in 2015 and expanded into activewear, MSX, the next year.

“Starter has been a pioneer of sports and fashion within the retail industry for decades,” said Banks. “Bringing this unique collaboration to one of the biggest sports stages in the world with my former teammate and now business partner is an absolute thrill for me and G-III.”

The collection will include limited-edition varsity jackets, which will retail for $195 to $220, track jackets ($135 to $155), hoodies ($120), T-shirts ($50 to $75) and women’s varsity jackets ($185). Curated by New Jersey-based graphic artist Brian Begley, the collection was designed to evoke the Los Angeles sunset and Hollywood skyline.

It will be available beginning Feb. 5 at The NFL Experience in Los Angeles, which was a week ago.  This is why the Touchdown Jacket is already gone!

See, fashionistas and stylistos, the NFL is sporting style!

Get Your Valentines' Game On & Do A Couple of Touchdowns, During the Climax of the Winter Olympics & the Super Bowl, 2022, All In One Week. Time to Play Games.

 By Laura Medina

Since the majority of people are soured on traditional Valentine's Day, following in the foot steps and in the shadow of Super Bowl 2022 and it's in the middle of the Winter Olympics; and the Super Bowl is most guys' idea of a Valentine's Day, most people are just quitting on Valentine's Day.  People are way more excited about the Super Bowl and the Winter Olympics.

Can't think of no better time for good sportsmanship, team sports and self-wellness, combining the physical with the emotional with the mental and the physical, mind-body interconnection.  Cooperation is key to good sportsmanship among couples or a team.  Sometimes, reinforcing mind-body alignment is key to good health.

If playing games, do it the right way.  It's all about good sportsmanship.

Today, Dating.com released user survey data revealing that 60% of singles and couples feel Valentine’s Day has lost its luster as a result of the pandemic – and are opting out of celebrations and rituals all together. In short, people feel its more important to show acts of love and appreciation all year long.

Key findings of the survey include:

  • 48% of users noted that they want to be shown affection from their partner more regularly throughout the year and 52% said they’ve already begun a new ritual to do so.
  • 74% of singles surveyed said that Valentine’s Day adds too much pressure on a potential relationship while 58% of those in relationships think one day isn’t enough to show their appreciation for their partner.
  • Of those still celebrating, 63% said they prefer a more intimate night together versus any over the top plans. Similarly, those celebrating noted they’re aiming to spend an average of $150 on Valentine’s Day celebrations and gifts - which isn’t extravagant considering what singles and couples have spent in previous years. Users increasingly prefer quality time spent together over money spent on dinner and gifts.
  • Of those not celebrating, 83% noted they’ll be making plans to spend time around Valentine’s Day weekend with friends instead.

As people everywhere continue to reassess their priorities, singles and couples alike agree that Valentine’s Day doesn’t make the list anymore. Dating.com finds single people and people in relationships claim they are opting out of typical Valentine’s Day rituals this year as they believe it’s more critical to make a mindful effort to celebrate appreciation and love - for ourselves and our partners - every day of the year.

In the last two years, couples have been able to have more quality time with their partners. As a result of flexible work and lockdowns, they have used down time to become more and more creative and proactive in planning special moments for date night, more frequently and on any night of the week - leaving traditional moments like Valentine’s Day as an outdated holiday. While special nights out are still a priority within relationships, Dating.com users have cited that Valentine’s Day feels like a forced holiday that’s lost its meaning.

Dating.com surveyed its users to see how singles and couples are spending the holiday and found that 47% are opting out of Valentine’s Day while 32% are having date night at home and 21% made special reservations. Key findings from the survey include:

  • 60% said Valentine’s Day has lost its value as a result of the pandemic
  • The pressures of the pandemic have affected the way couples offer and receive their partner’s support. 48% of users noted that they want to be shown affection from their partner more regularly throughout the year and 52% said they’ve already begun a new ritual to do so.
  • 74% of singles surveyed said that Valentine’s Day adds too much pressure on a potential relationship while 58% of those in relationships think one day isn’t enough to show their appreciation for their partner.
  • Quality time is still a top priority. Of those still celebrating, 63% said they prefer a more intimate night together versus any over the top plans.

“It’s no surprise that both singles and couples have given up on Valentine’s Day,” says Maria Sullivan, Vice President and Dating Expert of Dating.com. “Globally, we’ve seen that people are more focused on building strong connections that focus on supporting and celebrating each other all year long. Our findings show us that, amid the additional stress from the ongoing pandemic, singles and couples feel overwhelmed with over the top displays of love. While taking time to recognize these important bonds is important, partners should be giving their lovers these affirmations more frequently than just once a year. The pandemic has accelerated the death of this antiquated commercial holiday as more couples and singles have taken advantage of the flexibility of remote work to plan more creative, intimate dates and set aside quality time for their partners.”

Maria has included her advice on how to create special moments for your loved one all year long. Her tips include:

  • Set aside time to ask your partner about their day. It’s important to feel in sync with your lover and know what’s going on in their life. Taking time during a dinner together at home or over coffee can allow you to celebrate their accomplishments together or offer support if they’re having a rough day. Letting them know you're there will mean a lot to them and help to create a stronger bond.
  • Surprise them with a thoughtful gift or date. There doesn’t need to be a holiday to show your appreciation for your partner. Flowers, a bottle of wine or a simple yet special date night are easy yet welcomed signs to show how much you care.
  • Give them words of affirmation. Telling your partner how proud you are of them or how happy you are with them is just as - if not more than - important as a night out on the town together. While you both can feel the love, explicitly telling your partner will make them feel appreciated and seen.
  • Schedule new and exciting plans together. Whether it be traveling to new destinations around the world or trying a new fitness class much closer to home, having these experiences together will make you feel closer as you build new memories. It also keeps the relationship thrilling as you look forward to trying new things together.
There are no better way to set time aside, giving them affirmation and scheduling something new and exciting than playing with new toys during the Super Bowl and the Olympics than...

Saie Hollywood Tour Promoting Their AIRSET RADIANT LOOSE SETTING POWDER, Align Your Makeup with An Activity.

 By Laura Medina

COVID-19 pandemic then the quarantine changed the whole entire party/events/promotional game.

Sure, this scribe misses the glam slam of continuous parties promoting and pushing fresh foods, snacks, beverages, clothes, skincare, and beauty of the recent, past yore.

Saie Beauty pivoted the game.

Instead of decadent parties, SAIE matches their products with activities.  They matched their release of their sunscreen/serum, Sunvisor with a tennis lesson and match, fully demonstrating the effectiveness and the breathable, light feel of their Sunvisor sunscreen-serum while sweating it out on the tennis court.

Now, on the day of their official release of their new AirSet Radiant Loose Setting Powder, Saie Beauty invited a very exclusive, very few, and very lucky group of 12 guests to fully feel the lightness of AirSet by having a free blowout in their convertible Hollywood Tour Bus, touring Hollywood.

To really experience the Hollywood Tourist feel, they provide a retro disposal Saie Beauty camera in their gift bags with the AirSet Powder and Brush with a collectible key chain.

They hired a bi-coastal comedian, Claire, to be our tour guide. Ironically, this scribe is way older and has around Hollywood for way longer than Claire.

It took 22 years for this scribe to finally seat back and relax being a tourist, rather than hustling as an insider, while trying Saie Beauty's AirSet Powder.

Let the Hollywood Hills, the gossip, and the ghost history breeze thru you...
