WHO: JENNIFER ANISTON, LIVING PROOF CO-OWNER AND HAIR CARE SPOKESPERSON

HAIR BY: CHRIS McMILLAN, LIVING PROOF CELEBRITY HAIRSTYLIST

INSPIRATION: “The key word is natural. She’ll be one of the only people there who is able to actually touch her hair. Jen’s Valentino gown was such a daring fashion choice, so we wanted her hair to make her feel comfortable. I created a look that would last the entire night, from the red carpet to when she presents. “

TIPS/TECHNIQUE: “First, I washed the hair with Living Proof Full Shampoo and Conditioner. I then applied Prime Style Extender to wet hair and massaged through for a lasting style, while still allowing the hair to have movement. Using a large round brush, I blew out the hair straight with a deep, side bang. Finally, I applied Hold Flexible Hairspray to the roots for height and lightly sprayed the rest of the hair.”

PRODUCTS: LIVING PROOF FULL SHAMPOO ($24), FULL CONDITIONER ($24), PRIME STYLE EXTENDER ($20), HOLD FELXIBLE HAIRSPRAY ($24)

DRESS: VALENTINO COUTOURE

RETAILERS: LIVINGPROOF.COM, SEPHORA, SEPHORA.COM, ULTA, NORDSTROM

WHO: NATALIE PORTMAN

HAIR BY: CHRIS McMILLAN, LIVING PROOF CELEBRITY HAIRSTYLIST

INSPIRATION: “We kept it really chic and simple. Natalie’s hair had a Richard Avedon, 1960s feel. Her dress was empire waist, so her hair had that same 60s vibe. Kate Young, Natalie’s stylist, had sent me some pictures of ideas she had so we started with that for inspiration. Natalie said that from the front it looked like she’d cut her hair short, and then from the back you saw this beautiful French twist. She called it a fakeout short haircut, which she loved.”

TIPS/TECHNIQUE: “I used Living Proof Prime Style Extender while Natalie’s hair was still damp so that her style would last all night. Then I blew it dry with a round brush from YS Parks – a line of Japanese brushes that’s just unbelievable. I created a classic French twist, using bobby pins and teasing it a bit to give it a bit of a cushion. It wasn’t too high – it was a bit lower on her head, with a really beautiful shape in the back. Last, I used Hold Firm Hairspray to smooth it all down, get rid of any flyaways, and really give it that shiny, smooth, lacquered finish. The whole look – her hair and her dress – looked so chic and modern.”

PRODUCTS: PRIME STYLE EXTENDER ($20), HOLD FIRM HAIRSPRAY ($24)

DRESS: DIOR

George Kotsiopoulos of E!'s Fashion Police worked the Academy Awards Red Carpet yesterday; and appeared ready as ever for his close up. Here, George tells us and your readers how to get his look for the Oscar's:
"During awards season, I'm out there on the red carpet all day. I'm really choosy about the products I use, because I can't step off the red carpet and touch up my look halfway through the day. To make sure my hair stays put, I use GO 24/7 Texture Paste ($15.95: GO247men.com) for just the right amount of hold without that stiff look."

To Get George's Hair:
·         Start with clean air-dried hair.
·         Then using the lightweight GO 24/7 Texture Paste ($15.95: GO247men.com) take a small quarter size dollop and rub in between hands to evenly coat.
·         Apply the GO 24/7 Texture Paste throughout, manipulating it to an effortless and worn in look with a bit of texture.
·         Finish off with a spritz of the GO 24/7 Control Spray ($19.95: GO247men.com) that provides a light hold.

"I know my red carpet look is complete when I've managed to achieve just the right amount of stubble.  I walk a very fine line because taking it close is a no-no but if it's too much, you look sloppy. The Conair iStubble makes getting the precise effect fast, without irritation and completely effortless".

To Achieve George's Complexion and Smooth Beard:
·         Be sure to shave 2-3 days before any big event.
·         On the day of the event, use Conair's iStubble ($50: Target.com) to evenly trim beard to desired thickness.
·         Finish off by applying the GO 24/7 Face Moisturizer ($18.95: GO247men.com).

"When it comes to prepping for the red carpet, being camera-ready is key. That means no bags under your eyes, no wrinkles and well-groomed facial hair. I use GO 24/7 Face Moisturizer ($18.95: GO247men.com) to make sure my skin looks even and smooth on and off camera."

Diana Schmitdke of The Art Of Shaving let's on what it takes to get Seth MacFarlane for his Oscar debut.  She used the Barber Spa's signature shave at the Barber Spa, The Royal Shave.  The shave is key to getting the closest shave possible, but giving moisture to the skin. Part of The Royal Shave they have a mask that is applied to the face which contains Desert Rose Clay --- this is a KEY ingredient to moisterie and keep the skin hydrated all day (something that is great for Seth who is on-stage for a long-time). Another reason I opted for the Royal Shave for Seth is because the shave lasts longer. As you know everyone goes to parties after the Oscars so it's a long night, no one wants that 5 0’Clock shadow to appear at 1AM; you want to keep the clean shaven look all night and a straight razor shave (from a professional barber) will do this!
Then we did his hair. I went with a more groomed look (compared to his everyday look,  but kept it fun!).
Lastly we did his makeup (I didn't need to use much makeup just anti shine by Peter Roth, and concealer by Jouer). I opted for ant-shine because it's long lasting, and Seth was on-stage for 4 hours (And there are no powder particles flying off my brush and risking that landing on his suit). It's very dark backstage!! Things move quickly and there isn't a whole lot of time like we have during a photo-shoot.
His hair and shave went with his outlets -- Gucci and Dolce. 2 tuxes for the show.
What are four tips to getting groomed like Seth?  What can men do at home to get the best groomed look from the red carpet?
Diana Schmitdke:
1. Moisturize.
2.  The Royal Shave at The Art of Shaving for more information on The Royal Shave go here
3. A haircut
4. Prevent looking shiny;  use an anti-shine.
Less is more when it comes to a well groomed guy.

Diana Schmitdke is the "go-to" lady for male grooming and man-scaping.  When it comes to grooming male nominees and presenters, she said she has to work around the actor's work schedule and film shoot.  If his role asks for a mustache, a beard, and/or long hair, she has no choice but to work around it.  Remember, an actress or an actor is hot when she or he immediately jumps back into the role, on set, as soon as she or he is done attending the ceremony...if lucky, returns with the award, first thing in the morning, the next day.

Diana, "It was also the year of the beards from Ben, Bradley to George..all sporting a beard. They all had a beard that was trimmed and groomed properly."

"Despite the 'year of the beard on the carpet' it's very important to shave because black-tie events translate to stepping it up and looking your best. In the event you do have a beard (like many men did), groom it!
Trim/shave it up under the neck. Create straight lines that are straight around the ear, neck and nose. One trick for keeping a beard looking perfect is to spray your comb with hairspray and then run it through your beard to keep the wild hairs at bay. Don't forget to check and perhaps trim if needed your nose hairs, ear hair, and eyebrows as well. A beard is sexy, but it must be groomed to get that red-carpet look!"

Bradley Cooper is a great example of Diana wanting a man to look like a man but only better, "Here is a man that has a great beard, (but with today’s beard, its not about lets just grow a beard and not have to keep it trimmed). Bradley’s beard was clean, trimmed and neat. The edges were shaved and cut to compliment all around is face.  His beard was a great complement to the nice longer hair slicked back off his face. His hair looked natural like he just ran his fingers through it to push it out of his face. His hair was done, but not over done; same with his beard.  It was groomed, but not over groomed."

According to Diana,  Jeremy Renner-his hair was full, groomed, perfectly styled. Perfect volume in the front, great side part. He looked handsome. I like seeing men on the carpet especially at the Oscars looking dapper and have their hair styled to complement their dapper outfit.

Channing Tatem- this is a good example of a close crop that is actually styled and cut perfectly to a head shape. His skin has the perfect tone (well managed and definitely cared for).  That man know how to wear a suit! I loved the tails in his dance number. His look was flawless.

With all this exposed skin on the décolletage, the décollete, the neck, the shoulders, the back, the thigh-high slit of the leg, and the peek-a-boo dip of the back, and the clever cut-outs, skincare has moved below the neck and needs to pamper and prep every inch of the body.

Celebrity skincare guru Jenefer Palmer shares her secrets so you can flaunt your own picture-perfect, glowing skin.

Banish dead skin cells with a dry brush. The best thing you can do for your skin is brush for 3 to 5 minutes. Dry brushing will smooth out skin and improve circulation by stimulating lymphatic flow and removing body toxins.

Remove body acne with OSEA’s Ocean Cleansing Mudd, This marine-based cleanser removes impurities while clearing up blemishes and controlling excess oil production. It exfoliates and purifies clogged pores and removes dead cells, leaving skin smooth and invigorated.

Smooth out unwanted age dimples with OSEA’s Anti-Aging Body Balm. It preserves natural skin lipids, limits dehydration trapping and seals water in the outer layer of the epidermis. To tighten skin and restore a healthy glow, apply after bathing when the skin is still moist-- it’s worth the extra few minutes of waiting while it soaks in.

Stop sleeping naked. Bed sheets could be irritating your skin. Wearing pajamas can protect you from irritation breakouts caused by chemicals found in conventional laundry detergent. Try switching to organic, fragrance-free, hypoallergenic laundry soap, or use half the amount advised on labels (this will be gentler on your skin and help your clothes last longer).

Emily Blunt, Golden Globe Award Winner: Emily Blunt has certainly caught Hollywood’s eye and her red carpet appearances are just as captivating as her film performances. One of her favorite products, Murad’s Perfecting Day Cream SPF 30, works to restore suppleness, soften lines and provide essential sun protection to keep skin looking flawless. ($47)

·         Jessica Lange, Academy Award and Golden Globe Winner: Jessica Lange is a classic Hollywood beauty knows what it takes to be camera ready, and that includes prepping with Murad’s Rejuvenating Lift for Neck and Décolleté. It increases firmness to restore a more youthful smoothness and even tone. ($55)

·         Rachel Zoe, Celebrity Stylist: Rachel Zoe is known for creating some of best looks seen on the red carpet, including for her Oscar-nominated client Anne Hathaway. She definitely knows the importance of looking your best, which includes having healthy and hydrated skin. No wonder she keeps Murad’s Hydro-Dynamic Ultimate Moisture in her own beauty bag! ($65)

·         Nadine Velazquez, Actress: Nadine Velazquez, actress in the Oscar nominated film Flight, visits the Murad Inclusive Health Spa when she wants to pamper herself and her skin. It’s the perfect way to relax before any big event!

·         Ande Yung, Makeup Artist: Makeup artist Ande Yung, who works on the Golden Globe nominated series Boardwalk Empire, understands the importance of youthful skin. She says Murad’s Time Release Retinol Concentrate has my official seal of approval.”  ($65)
Another product celebrities are clamoring for is Murad’s new Rapid Collagen Infusion, a fast acting, multi-tasking formula that fights wrinkles and loss of resilience by promoting collagen and elastin production while maintaining healthy hydration levels in the skin. It is clinically proven to reduce the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles in 2 hours. ($78)

Jacqui Stafford, globe-trotting fashion and style expert and author of "The Wow Factor," and mom, gives these quick and easy tips in getting last night's Oscar look with easy and attainable makeup that...if they aren't already purse staples...then they should be...

 FOR... BRIGHT, BIG, BEAUTIFUL EYES
This is an invaluable TV trick I learned decades ago: Make eyes look brighter by lining the inner rims with a nude (not white, eek!) liner. Try Make Up For Ever Concealer & Lip Liner Pencil (it says it’s for lips, but it’s super creamy) in No.100.

FOR... SUNKISSED SKIN (IN THE DEAD OF WINTER!)
Pick a bronzer that’s no more than two shades darker than your complexion and use a fluffy, oversized bronzer brush to dust it where the sun would naturally hit—on your forehead, down your nose, and on the apples of your cheeks. Try the cult classic, NARS’s Bronzing Powder in Laguna. Makeup artists add a dab of pink blush just on the apples of the cheeks over the top of bronzer for a believably natural glow.

For...Flawless Complexion
Use Clé de Peau Beauté Concealer for a fast flawless complexion.
This concealer is creamy enough to cover any humdinger of a pimple, yet whisper-light-enough to blend away dark circles. (A must-have for inside your party clutch.)

 FOR... THE PERFECT POUT
Get a warm shade that’s one shade darker than your natural lip color. (Try to match the shade to your gum color.) Sheer formulas are goof-proof since a less precise application is needed to give that fresh-faced look. Try Clinique’s Almost Lip-stick, a super sheer wash of color in iconic Black Honey (every makeup artist carries it) or a pretty pink that suits everyone, like Flirty Honey.
(A good rule of thumb: The darker your skin, the warmer the red should be.)

These 4 key pieces can be or were easily stashed in those blinged-out clutches yesterday afternoon.

For a deeper analysis of last night's makeup, James Vincent, celebrity makeup artist and Director of Artistry and Education for The Makeup Show, can break it down for you...

Vincent also notes some of his favoriteceleb looks and what he felt was missing on the red carpet this year,  “Naomi Watts looked sensational in her glowing nude look, the soft blue liner added the point of interest that some of the more natural looks were lacking. Jennifer Lawrence’s shimmery pink look, I thought was perfect for her age and complexion. Adele and Halle Berry brought a beautiful Bond Girl feel to their soft smoky eye and nude lip looks that I thought was understated and elegant and you could not takeyour eyes off them. And Barbara Streisand showed the world how less can be more with a flattering look for older women. Charlize Theron was one of my favorite looks of the night with a beautifully balanced makeup.

I think for me I miss the days when people got carried away on the red carpet or at least took some risk. Everyone now is so professionally styled they don't take chances. Some of my favorites that bucked the trend. Jessica Chastains matte red lip was so beautiful against her complexion. Queen Latifahs look from legendary Sam Fine was flawless. The blonde eyebrow and simple eye with abold bright lip was beautiful and memorable. I also loved Kristen Stewarts makeup look by Beau Nelson. A lot of people did not like her morning after hair but I thought it fit her personality and was so perfect with her auburn smokey eye, romantic lash and kiss of color pink lips. I think it was nice to see something so different that was more about an actors personality and less about playing it safe.”

Anastasia Soare, founder of Anastasia Beverly Hills is known as The Definitive Brow and Eye Expert and made over the brows at the Oscars for Mary Steenburgen, Leighton Meester, Oprah Winfrey, Laura Dern, Kate Capshaw, Julie Chen, Jason Schwartzman, Jennifer Lopez, and Heidi Klum.  Anastasia tells us here how you can achieve these looks at home:

Jennifer Lopez is always so glamorous, she maintains a high arch brow and loves to use highlighter along her brow bone. To achieve her look, fill in your brows using Medium Ash brow powder and finish off the look with Brow Duality pencil in Lace along your brow bone.”

Heidi Klum is not exactly a challenge when it comes to looking gorgeous. She likes a clean makeup look. For her brows I fill them in with Blonde brow pencil and apply clear brow gel on top. Heidi keeps her makeup fresh and her browsclassic.”

Oprah Winfrey loves a classic bold brow, I have never shaped her brows thin we always strive to maintain a thick arch. For Ms. Winfrey's brows I apply Brunette brow powder and touch up any gaps with Brunette Brow Wiz. I finish off the look with Clear Brow Gel.”

At the 85th annual Academy Awards, glamorous nails stole the spotlight. Beauties, Adele and Rosie Huntington Whiteley, turned to celebrity manicurist, Kimmie Kyees, to complete their look. Kyees relied on color-leader Sally Hansen to create signature nail styles for this red carpet moment.

Adele, nominated for best original song, “Skyfall” from the latest James Bond picture layered Sally Hansen Insta-Dri Fast Dry Nail Color in Quick Sand under Complete Salon Manicure in Almost Almond.

Rosie Huntington Whiteley, English model and actress, wore a custom-mixed color with beaded adornments to create a chic and trendsetting nail. Kyees created her look by painting one layer of Complete Salon Manicure in Mudslide under two coats of Complete Salon Manicure in Sheer Ecstasy.  While nails were still wet, Kyees applied a pearl and a gold metallic bead to the bottom center of each nail.

Jenna Dewan Tatum wearing Rachel Roy.

Julie Yaeger, wife of Paul Rudd, wears a Carlos Miele silk chiffon gown with tulle detail.

Neve Campbell wore an Oliver Tolentino electric blue silk brocade midi cocktail dress with peplum to the Weinstein & Chopard Oscars party last night at SoHo House.

Best Supporting Actress, Anne Hathaway and Amy Adams both started this subtle and sly sexy trend of wearing your draping necklaces-backward-to spotlight the spine and back.

Anne Hathaway paired her stunning gown with Tiffany Lucida Diamond Stud Earrings set in platinum ($39,300), the Tiffany Cushion-cut, Marquise and Round Diamond Fringe Bracelet set in platinum ($200,000), the Tiffany Paisley Diamond Bracelet set in platinum ($115,000) and the Tiffany Diamond Corsage Necklace set in platinum ($485,000) which she wore down her back.

Just like other hair clippers, you will need to worry on how to fix the messy sinks or counters. It's waterproof and watertight, and that means you can use it in the shower or bath together with when it's dry. Get more interesting details about trimmers for fades check out this site.
