Soft Hair & Lips for a Blizzard

By Laura Medina

For my intrepid blizzard-bound readers trudging through the snow, trying to make it to every New York Fashion Week show and apres-parties, this scribe has tested each and every of these products to help you look well-pampered and sleek.  Just because this weekend's snowstorm frayed your nerves, it doesn't mean your hair has to suffer, too.

Living Proof's No Frizz Line kept these this scribe's tresses plump and well-nourished through all sorts of frizz-inducing humidity.

Whether it was in the sizzling and sweaty Summer in the Deep South or bone-chilling dry Winter, Living Proof's No Frizz Shampoo, Conditioner, and the nifty Nourishing Styling Cream kept the hair strands smooth and soft, giving this scribe a lift of confidence every time this scribe walks out of the door in extreme climates.

Unlike lesser brands, you don't need to pour the whole bottle of shampoo and conditioner to clean and soften your hair.  A little dab of each will do, see cost-effective.

The same applies to the Nourishing Styling Cream for the busy fashionista on-the-go, dashing and chasing every fashion show there is under the snow drift.  It is greatIt keeps your hair styled while it moisturizes it.  A great element protector.

Whatever is old is new again, ancient Moroccan secret...Argan Oil in a hairspray.

If juxtaposition combinations work for chocolate and peanut butter, so does the holding power of hairspray and the conditioning argan oil.  Paired together, it is the best of two worlds.

Agadir™ Volumizing Hair Spray - Firm Hold keeps her hair do stay put while keeping it soft and touchable..;and it lasts for another day if shampooing freezes your head.  You can sleep in for an extra night if you're too wiped out from Fashion Week and it's too cold to wash.  Your 'do will still stay put and it is still touchable and malleable without losing hold.

Bummed your favorite lip slave or balm is so many blocks away in your favorite apothecary that is nowhere near where you are.

You dash into your nearest CVS or Duane Reid corner drugstore and pick up Nivea's Lip Butters in: unisex Smooth Kiss, Raspberry Rose Kiss, Caramel Cream Kiss, and Vanilla & Macadamia Kiss.

Obviously, you can slick on these Shea Butter and Almond Oil lip balms onto chapped lips and cuticles and smooth eye brows really fast.  If really dry and chapped, you can discreetly pat a balm, gently, around your "crinkles" or "smile lines" around your eyes and lips.

No bad for a pocket-sized balm.

These are this scribe's survival guide to how to deal in a snow storm while you have to look good and be comfortable for a no-fuss, fast-paced but exciting lifestyle...in the cold.
