NFL for Her & Legends Football League, No Longer a Boy's Game.

 By Laura Medina

Females fans of footballs who support the game are the sport's greatest cheerleaders; and this scribe bets that half of them were cheerleaders back in the day of high school and college, even the lucky few who managed to progress, for a few years, to be professional cheerleaders.

Even after their cheerleading days are past and over, women football fans are and will be the sport's biggest supporters.

There are so many loyal women sport nuts, since they were girls, that they want something of their own to cheer on the team.

Stealing and adjusting their mate's baggy, over-sized men's tees and jerseys isn't going to cut it anymore-literally.

Thank God, in this day and age, the National Football League recognized that the half its die-hard fans are women.  The time has come to give stuff of their to cheer on their home team.

All has gotten together, with the NFL, to start up "It's My Team" NFL Women's Apparel,   NFLShop.com

These women die-hard football fans are professional athletes, team owners, investors, and the more traditional wives and daughters of coaches, owner, and players.

They want to step it up with fitted jerseys and football tees, better contoured to the female torso, jerseys re-worked into fashion-forward, sexy but loyal halters and tanks splashed with their favorite team's logo.

They don't stop at clothes.  Women want to take it further.

These women want to show their team loyalty year-around and discreetly.

Hey, if you're going to brandish brand logos on your totes, sachtels, and purses, why not flash your favorite team?

The legendary dark denim hobo insignia replaces the "LV" stitch logo with logos of NFL football teams, such as the New Orleans Saint's Fleur de Lys, just as French and just as chic but deeper and more personal.

Why sport just Frye and the more upscale Ugg Boots when you can emblemized them like the Gridiron Frye-like boots or truly wear cowboy boots with the Dallas Cowboys Symbol stamped on them.

Carl Banks, President of G-III Apparel Group (2x Super Bowl Champion, Pro Bowler, NFL 80’s All Decade Member) knew that football wives, daughters, and girlfriends want to cheer on their team while looking good.  So, he and G-III Apparel Group debuted their new G-III Apparel Group's “4Her" collection exclusively on HSN along with brand ambassadors including Danielle Conti (girlfriend of Mark Herzlick – New York Giants) and other wives, girlfriends, and sisters – of NFL’s top players.

Hollywood studs, George Clooney and Ashton Krutcher like to relax in their Junk Food football jersey tees and hoodies.

Wherever the Super Bowl lands, it's going to be "Hollywood" for the weekend.

New Orleans was packed with celebrities, athletes and musicians as they partied into the night at a number of rocking Super Bowl parties.  Of course, none of these bashes are more legendary than the annual Playboy Party Presented by Crown Royal where stars and Playmates mixed and mingled until 3 a.m.!
However, this year, before Playboy party attendees grabbed their first cocktail, they took some time out to give back to U.S. troops through the Crown Royal Heroes Project.  After walking the red carpet, stars including Neil Patrick Harris and Anna Faris took a few minutes to stuff iconic Crown Royal camo bags with snacks and autographs to send to U.S. troops serving overseas.  After giving back, they grabbed Crown Royal cocktails like the King of Kings (recipe below) and enjoyed the evening!

If you all are throwing Super Bowl parties, you can borrow Crown Royal's Super Bowl Cocktail recipe:

Crown Royal King of Kings Cocktail Recipe: (enjoyed by many celebs at the party)
1 oz. Crown Royal Black
.5 oz. Ciroc Coconut
Pineapple juice
Cranberry juice
Combine all ingredients into shaker, strain into rocks glass over ice, garnish with lime.

Women, especially women athletes, can only support a sport for so long cheering and cooking passively on the sideline.

Women athletes, who had proved their prowess on the track, on the court, and on the field, want to take their God-given talents beyond high school and college.  They got the prowess to tackle it on the gridiron.

The owners and management of what used to the Lingerie Football League, want to take it further.

In order for sport or a league to survive, it has to evolve and mature beyond the first-stage gimmick, no different than traditional American football a hundred or eighty years ago.

Out went the garter belts, the lace, the skimpy and flimsy underwear and the equally skimpy and flimsy lingerie models.

In come the collegiate athletes, activewear, helmet, and shoulder pads.

To increase the awareness of women athleticism, the re-named Legends Football League has expanded into Canada and Australia.

The Legends Football League is giving gifted women the chance to display their athletic prowess on a professional level and standards.

Yes, the sexuality is still the bait to attract interest and awareness but their physical appearance is more of accidential result from a lifetime dedicated to health and fitness, not eating disorders.
