Travaasa Experiential Resorts in Maui & Austin, Escape for Dad.

By Laura Medina

If you're running out of ideas for Father's Day and Dad is running out of batteries, it would be thoughtful to send him to a different type of spa.

Not the spa of luxurious napping and pampering but a spa that kicks ass because it really does whip your butt...his butt...into shape.  Plus, the thrill of doing something exciting and new recharges his batteries.

Travaasa is an experiential resort, jam-packed with action-adventures to live his dreams and fulfilled his curiosity.  Travaasa breaks the stereotypical norm of what spa is meant to be.  It's tailored to the intellectually active and culturally curious, offering a resort experience that is defined by guided adventures, culinary classes, cultural encounters, healing spa treatments, as well as fitness and wellness workshops.  It doesn't push you beyond the limits and break you down like a tough mudder competition but it does expand your mind and body and horizon, making Dad a better person.

Travaasa Resorts is a "bucket list" resort where anyone, including Dad, can finally experience what he has only dreamt of...hang-gliding, horseback riding like a cowboy, surfing (especially if he's stuck in the Midwest) and etc....

At its Hana Maui location, it has activity categories: Adventure and Fitness to satisfy his yearnings, Culture to expand his horizons, Culinary to discover new meals, and Spa & Wellness for his aching back.

If he wants to be closer to home, Travaasa's Austin location has stuff for him too: Compassion-Meditation of the Masculine, Tequila Tastings, Ecology Hike, Slacklining, Horse Trail Rides, Zip Lining, Mountain Biking, and Archery.

The Austin location has a Men's Spa Menu: Organic Men's Custom Facial, Back & Facial Treatment, Gentleman's Clarifying Facial, and Back Treatment, and The Energetic Edge Massage Therapy.

Going beyond golf, go glide with the flow.
