A good many moons ago, during an UCLA marketing class, I'd pitched an "anti-Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf" cafe that catered quality coffee & tea and gourmet treats to bikers and motorcyclists (you truly need serious cash to ride a darn good motorcycle).
Guess what?! That day has come, from London. Bike Shed Motorcycle Company has landed in, of course, Downtown LA's Arts District for the sheer size and volume.
It's huge with proper British Victorian burnish steel and copper furnishings, dotted with vintage American motorcycles through-out the emporium
Yes, it's an emporium, housing a full fancy gastropub/restaurant doing full breakfast/lunch/dinner with proper English tea and scones paired with fresh, foamy beer on tap. There are just as many, if not more, vegans in London as there are in LA. A better than average dive, to fuel up.
It's an upscale biker hang-out that shows love and respect to motorcycle lovers. For the average car driver, they'll still welcome them but the on-site, free parking is for motorcyclists only.
However, it's still a great place to just relax and chill. The longer, the better.
You can get a fresh trim at the barbershop. You can get a fresh tattoo. You can outfit your moto wardrobe in the clothing boutique, all under one roof.
