The Teen Choice Awards Style Lounge and other gifting suites preceding last Sunday's Teen Choice Awards, signals Back to School shopping when teachers and instructors swamp over-burdened parent(s) with a list of demands to help your kid get the leg up on the competition or just be competent.

The premiere Teen Choice Award Style Lounge on Thursday 8th, 2013 in Beverly Hills at the SLS Hotel gives the best in gear and equipments in what a kid needs transiting from junior high to high school to their first dorm or apartment in college.

Luxurious yes but a wise investments in the long run.  How cool?  Cool enough for the parent to buy one for herself or himself,  the kid can share or wait or borrow.

The 2013 Teen Choice Awards nominees, presenters, and guests make great guinea pigs for new electronic equipments, skincare, and snacks so they can look good in a quickie in one day before the camera...live.

This scribe remembers the '80's when she tried to turn Walkman headphones into speakers by turning up the volume, didn't work but technology has improved since then.

Flips Audio, are the revolutionary new headphones that transform from a headphone (solo mode) to an amp`d up powerful speaker (social mode) with the simple "flip" of the ear cups. Now you can listen alone or  share your music with others, all from the same device.

Ideal for cramp spaces like bedroom, dorm, and studio apartment.

Hormonal changes are always traumatic, ask this scribe.

Stress always increase cortisol which rockets acne and pimples, big thing for these teenaged presenters and winners.

Clear Start by Dermalogica stops and calms downs the acne.

Looking for a snack to feed your kid's hordes of friends or you need a quick and affordable snack for your first dinner/cocktail party in your studio apartment?

Megaload Chocolate's pre-assembled filled chocolate cups gushing with peanut butter and caramel fillings then topped with M&Ms and preztels and cookies does all the work for you.  All you have to do is arrange them on a platter or just scarf them down with your friends or just for your own pick-me-up.

Even "Glee's" Lauren Potter enjoyed trying and sampling the wares at the Teen Choice Awards Style Lounge under a perfect, sunny LA day at the SLS Hotel's Garden Terrace.

Once the Teen Choice Awards Style Lounge happened last Thursday, well numerous Back to School events pop up like up daisies.

Kmart's Back to School event across from The Grove in the Mid-Wilshire District was for anyone and everyone shopping at that location last Saturday.

97.1 Amp Radio got the family of shoppers pumping while waiting in line for the goodies.

Families and their daughters, sisters, and nieces were treated to a manicure lounge.  So touching to watch little girls get their first manicures with their moms.

Boys got something too.  One of them won a sound system that will grow with him and take to college.  The other cool prizes were a messenger bag and a backpack for a Nook.  Cool and necessary gear for high school and college.

The Threads of Friendship Bracelets gifting suite for the Teen Choice Awards was just simply having fun with: Janel Parrish from Pretty Little Liars (last night's winner for best Villian);  Sue Heck from "The Middle" rockin' the Chudney Earrings, Jean-Luc Bilodeau from ABC's Baby Daddy with the gold leather anchor Newport wrap bracelet, and Anderson Davis "Zesty Guy" commercials with The Margarita fringe beaded necklace.  If you watch last night's Teen Choice Awards, you might spot these on these celebrities last night, a new type of guessing game.

That's the one thing about style lounges and gifting suites.  They always spotlight the best in upcoming technology that kids, big, small, and in-between can really use and want for a long time.
