Dennis Rodman Sunday Dish with Jennifer Cohen at Westfield Century City Mall's Beauty & Balance Week.

By Laura Medina

It wasn't your usual health and fitness advice chat when you have Dennis Rodman for an afternoon chat, particularly on a Sunday afternoon.

He sat down with "Habits and Hustle" Jennifer Cohen https://www.instagram.com/therealjencohen/https://open.spotify.com/show/65memPd2e3Y8ekh3h1JuRK?si=NfT4iIq3QcOdd6LztobcOg and https://itunes.apple.com/us/podcast/habits-and-hustle/id1451897026?mt=2&i=1000429432469 in what it takes to be a professional basketball player to becoming a celebrity.

What began as an usual mind over matter to get out of the projects: having discipline, having a drive, and having a focus, Dennis spins it around into a juicy pop culture history, with him as an eyewitness to history.

From seeing who has the lowest body fat between him and Scotty Pippen to almost getting kicked of the NBA if he gets one more tattoo, Jennifer commented he was a trail blazer who's ahead of his time.  Now, it's common for today's younger basketball players to have tattoos and dyed hair.

His ever-changing, multi-colored hair to his outlandish style and personality, Dennis Rodman broke the mold.

This is where his anecdotes became juicy.  Since he's a honest man, he isn't afraid to talk about history that span 25 years...ago.

He dated Madonna when people thought her career was stalling.

But the woman who made the biggest impression was Carmen Electra.

From her bold introduction to him at a nightclub to her showing up in his life, with her luggage after she left her boyfriend, the audience's jaws just dropped.

But for Dennis, this is all water underneath the bridge.

What really gets him is having North Korea's President, Kim Jong-un, as a friend.

Dennis honestly told the Jennifer and the captive audience that he thought he was traveling there for an autograph session for North Korean fans.

He had no idea that Kim Jong-un personally asked him to be his personal guest. Kim is obvious an basketball fan.  The presidential North Korean band repetitively played the "Dallas" theme to Dennis' annoyance.  Regardless, he's still friends with Kim Jong-un. No politics involvement or motives.  Rodman shared that he is currently planning a trip to North Korea and his friendship with Kim Jong Un started by them playing the basketball game, HORSE. From being of the greatest rebounders in basketball to his current project, his podcast, "On the Rebound," https://www.podcastrepublic.net/podcast/1452648659 and https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BIs2BB00UIU. It's a witty play on his NBA position to him riffing and dispensing wise relationship and dating and ok, sex advice to young fans and admirers, based on his life experiences.
The after-party moved to Westfield Century City’s Next Health. It's still Beauty and Balance Week and Sunday with Dennis Rodan and Jennifer Cohen was the finale cherry on top. Rodman tried their Drip IV Therapy to hydrate but still telling tales. Other services offered to guests were the LIMITLESS Vitamin Shot, Infrared Therapy and Cryotherapy.
