The foundations of any great gown are good body and good skin.

For Julie Delpy, Sallt Hawkins, and Jessica Biel, the Red Carpet Facial:
Famous for creating an instant glow on demand, Kinara’s signature facial was designed to bring you highly-visible results for your most highly-visible events. The secret is in the proprietary formula, which combines lactic and amino acids, creating a uniquely intelligent exfoliation system that literally steam cleans the pores, dissolves impurities, and evens skin tone. Customized to fit the needs of your skin, this treatment may also include a resurfacing hydra facial, lifting and tightening micro-current, or medical-grade dermabrasion. Add to that the intensely healing and hydrating benefits of lysate extract and pikea robusta and you’re left with skin that is youthful, radiant and ready for its close-up!

Rachel Winter, Producer of Best Picture Nominee, "Dallas Buyers Club," popped into Kinara Skin Care Clinic in West Hollywood, California to prepare her skin for the 86th Annual Academy Awards at the Hollywood & Highland Center. Winter received a Red Carpet Body Peel, which is famous for creating an instant glow.

For a really gorgeous gown to be really sexy, you need good skin from the neck down, she had the
Red Carpet Body Peel:
When it comes to serious body care there is nothing more important than having a body facial at least seasonally to rejuvenate, exfoliate, hydrate and to improve skin turn over and tightness. Kinara begins with a gentle rice glour exfoliant followed by Kinara's Red Carpet glycolic/lactic acid peel and neutralizer that will literally evaporate unwanted dead skin and debris. This treatment is finish with a warm honey, mineral rich mask which is finally rinsed under cascading showers only to end with a full body application of Kinara's Intense Moisturizer with Peptides.

Exfoliate Your Way To Glowing Skin
Exfoliation is the key to revealing your natural glow. "It not only sweeps away surface debris, but it's beneficial
for setting the stage for penetration of other skin-enhancing ingredients and products like serums and toners,"
says Schneider, who recommends exfoliating two or three times per week with a gentle exfoliating cleanser

Hydrate, and Then Hydrate Again
Hydrated skin is happy skin. Not only does moisture help skin appear more youthful and luminous,
it provides you with a healthy glow. Says Schneider: "To keep skin glowing and hydrated, apply a moisturizing
mask weekly for 15 minutes before bed. For very dry skin, leave on all night and rinse in the morning."
Try LaBelle Complexion Radiance Mask with Pearl Extract, which helps deliver a uniquely bright,
youthful glow; $48.50. BSB Culmine Lycosilk is also a fantastic way to drench your face and body in moisture-rich ingredients
while illuminating skin at the same time; $55. And just as it is important to hydrate your skin from the outside in,
the same applies with the inside out. Aside from drinking water, eating high-water content foods like
watermelon, cucumbers and apples is a must.

Cheat Your Glow
Still not seeing your "glow" shine through? Don't fret. Schneider recommends enhancing your sheen by
mixing a luminescent lotion or gel with your foundation or tinted moisturizer. BSB Culmine Firm & Glow Serum
brightens and revitalizes skin, and has light-reflecting particles to add a subtle glow; $55.
And BSB Culmine Glow & Go Tinted Moisturizing Sunscreen is an anti-aging moisturizer with daytime
sun protection and a hint of tint that helps provide a flawless complexion, $45.

Blemish Be Gone
Breakouts are anything but glamorous, but they happen to the best of us, especially under stressful
situations like upcoming red carpet events! Schneider recommends combating a cranky complexion by
spot-treating pimples with a purifying mask (try LaBelle Pure Moss Purifying Mask; $30) or salicylic acid treatments

Lip Service
Your lips need love just like the rest of your face. To achieve a red-carpet ready pout, Schneider suggests lightly
exfoliating the skin on your lips to get rid of dry skin before applying a rich lip moisturizer. This will ensure that the
hydration from your moisturizer soaks in. Then, blot access lip moisturizer with a tissue and apply a concealer
to act as a primer before applying your favorite lipstick and lip-gloss. Apply LaBelle Full Lips Plumper with Natural Color
to freshly scrubbed smackers; $16.50. And to give your lips that juicy, finishing touch,
dab a little Lip Solve in the center of the lips over your lipgloss; $12.50

Every woman needs a "touch-up" makeup kit in her evening clutch.  Jouer Cosmetics ones up this by establishing itself as the premiere customizing, inter-locking makeup kit customized to your lifestyle, complexion, and the occasion, such as Miranda Kerr's Vanity Fair's Oscar Party that swallowed up all of Sunset Plaza on the Sunset Strip.

Celebrity Makeup Artist: Lisa Storey for Jouer Cosmetics
Inspiration:
“To balance the sexy silver gown that fit Miranda so perfectly, I was inspired to keep a feeling of a fresh faced classic beauty.  I loved the bright pops of coral and peach hues while keeping the eyes subtle and soft but still with a glamorous feel.”
FACE:
“To begin, I prepped the skin with Jouer Anti-Aging Moisture Primer followed by Luminizing Moisture Tint in Golden. I applied Age-Repairing Perfecter no. 2 in Crème for more coverage where needed and Age-Repairing Brightener in Medium under the eye area.
EYES:
On Miranda’s eyes I applied Crème Eyeshadow Crayons in Rococo over the lid, blending the outer corner with Baroque. I dusted Powder Eyeshadow in Walnut in the crease and blended upward and outward. I lined the inner eye with Eye Definer in Chocolat, finishing her look with lashings of Everyday Effortless Mascara in Noir. The brows were gently filled with Brow Definer in Cendré.
CHEEKS:
For the cheeks I patted Tint in Poppy on the cheeks, then after a light dust of Mineral Face Powder in Perle Naturel, I applied Mineral Powder Blush in Peach Bouquet.
LIPS:
I completed the look with Hydrating Lipstick in Grace.

Can't forget the guys...

Pureology PureArtists Sandra Joseph and Angela Noreck have the inside scoop on how to recreate Jared Leto’s swoon-worthy waves...

1.       Start by spraying Pureology Colour Fanatic multi-tasking hair beautifier throughout hair to detangle and reduce frizz.
2.       Mist Pureology Sea-Kissed Texturizer Salt-Free Tousle Mist liberally from scalp to ends on damp hair.
3.       Allow to air dry or use a diffuser on a low setting.
4.       Once dry, re-mist Pureology Sea-Kissed Texturizer Salt-Free Tousle Mist on dry hair for extra texture and hold.
5.       Finish by using a pearl size amount of Pureology Anti-Breakage Twist shine-texturizer for added definition and hold.

“We decided to go with the classic “Old Hollywood” meets young and modern vibe – Zac’s classic Calvin Klein tux channeled this look perfectly,” says men’s groomer Kim Verbeck, talking about her client, Zac Efron. “Zac’s style is all about maintaining length on top with shorter sides and back, pushed off the face and with just the right amount of height and texture.”
To begin, Verbeck recommends the Babyliss Volare X2 Clippers to cut the sides and back, blending the edges into the top layers, and leaving the top a little longer, with a textured finish.
“An easy way to create that added texture is to hold sections of the hair about 1 cm. below where you will cut, and with a light, feathering motion, “dip” into those small sections of hair at a 45 degree angle just on the ends,” adds Verbeck.
Kim finished by using the Babyliss Volare X2 Clippers to create perimeter shape by cleaning up the nape, then finishing over the ears and sideburns.
To follow, Kim lightly misted Zac’s hair with water, then placed a dime-sized amount of one ‘n only’s Speed Style Styling Cream in the palm of her hands, running throughout.
She followed by blowdrying Zac’s hair, in the opposite direction of the hair growth, to create added volume.
Finally, to give the style some structure, keep that texture and allow for a matte finish, Kim used the one ‘n only Speed Style Dry Texturizing Spray, running it through the top of Zac’s hair only. And lastly, to finish the look, Kim used one ‘n only’s Speed Style Finishing Hair Spray, which is “always the best for men’s hairstyles that have more length at the top,” says Verbeck.

Cate Blanchett, Best Actress Winner – "This beautiful, classic vintage Hollywood style is refreshing as it isn't a faux bob or very long but it's just right, at the shoulder.  The key to this look is to create the wave just through the front section and throughout the perimeter of the hair." – Jenny Balding
Create the Look!
  • Create a deep side part wherever works best for your face shape and hairline.
  • Blow dry smooth and keep to just a natural volume for this look.
  • Mist hair with a light and versatile hairspray like Redken fashion work 12
  • Use a medium size curling iron and start by creating the front section first as this will set the tone.  Create the wave from underneath the cheekbone.
  • Hold the iron vertically and wrap from mid-length to the ends.
  • Finish by setting the hair with a stronger hold hairspray.  Redken control addict 28 is perfect for this as it holds and creates shine.
Olivia Wilde – "This is a stunning, swept up, Brigitte Bardot inspired style and compliments her black and white gown beautifully.  Her graphic black eyeliner adds a 60's inspired feel to the whole ensemble." – Jenny Balding
Create the Look!
  • Start by blow drying hair with a round brush to create body, volume and slight wave to the ends.
  • Separate into two sections.  Take the crown and front section and pin to one side then leave the underneath section out.
  • Sweep the underneath section into a chignon that hugs the curve of the head.
  • Take the top section and back brush under the crown area to create padding and volume and twist lightly and secure into chignon.
  • Finish by gently loosening some shorter pieces to frame the face and mist with a light hairspray –  I love Redken fashion work 12 and it is very versatile and light to work with a light hairspray –  I love Redken fashion work 12 and it is very versatile and light to work with.
Charlize Theron – "Charlize is simply stunning with her sleek, smooth, grown out pixie which complimented her sleek gown with clean lines.  If you have a shorter hairstyle you can style it in so many ways, this, being one of them." – Jenny Balding
Create the Look!
Charlize has naturally wavy hair so you can also recreate this look with a few simple steps.
  • Apply a smoothing, straightening balm, Redken align 12, to clean wet hair.
  • Blow dry smooth and wrap the hair back and forward to prevent creating volume.
  • Create a deep side part which works best for your face shape and hairline.
  • Sweep and tuck behind ears.
  • I love Cutler Flyaway stick which is perfect for keeping your strands sleek and glossy all over.
