It's About Time, Chanel Did It's Cruise 2023 Collection Show at Paramount Studios.

 By Laura Medina

European fashion houses and brands finally realize it's about time they do their fashion shows where people actually buy and wear their clothes and carry their totes and bags-Hollywood.

The other plus is the weather and the climate backed with economics, the industry, and the lifestyle, doing an haute couture cruise collection runway show that'll be purchase, snapped up then posted.

A Redken creative director told me Cruise Collections are usually treated as an afterthought in Manhattan, where pop-up trucks casually park in front of magazines' offices as though they're mobile coffee trucks.

Cruise collections clothes, themselves, really don't have a purpose in the Hamptons.
But, LA's lucky location and glitzy entertainment industries give a reason and a rise for a sand and surf to street wear, in a chic way.

The historically, legendary Paramount Studios, is no better venue than that.  Right before COVID, Paramount Studios have been a premiere party and event venue, throwing festivals and parties.  Plus, as a studio, they got the space, the craftsmanship technicians, and the materials, right on hand, to props and backdrops in a nanosecond.

Paramount's soundstages and backlots' catwalk/courtyard turned into a skating rink for Popsk8Live Roller Skaters and dancers, backed by Nile Roger's DiscoOasis afterparty, bringing LA's funk with archetypical food trucks.

Chanel 2023 Cruise Collection is just hyped-up athleisure.
