"Women Who Rock" Take Charge for Women's Health for UPMC Magee-Womens Hospital

 By Laura Medina

At the pre-"Women Who Rock" concert panel, notable women music executives, moderated by breast-cancer survivor journalist, Marisa Sullivan, women music executives and producers discuss the importance of health care and insurance for musicians in general, but for women for a whole.

"Women Who Rock" concert is a fundraiser for UPMC Magee-Womens Hospital, one of the very few research centers that focuses on how various illness are represented uniquely through women's bodies and hormones.

The concert's emcee and host, Jordin Sparks seriously spoke how urgent this is, in light of sweeping changes set in by the Supreme Court.

Austin rocker, Emily Wolfe, came mentally ready and excited to be on Hollywood's red carpet for this worthy cause.

Women rocking was in full force, thanks to all-female contemporary mariachi band, Flor De Toloache and Emily Wolfe covering T. Rex, Led Zepplin, and No Doubt...

But, folks were here for the legendary Aimee Mann, who performed nothing but new materials for the fundraiser...

There were rock n' roll memorabilia for auction for further donations...

"Women Who Rock" brings it on for women's health and takes charge!
