By Laura Medina

Can't complain about the glam slam trifecta of the Golden Globes, the Grammys, and the Oscar, the tent poles of Awards Season, but boy, it's an intense time that takes up your energy, time, and stamina.

Therefore, it isn't unusual for one's immune system to bust down that everyone this scribe knows, is weary, run-down, and sick with some sort of cold.

There's more to post-recovery renewal than skin deep.  Your brain also needs a re-boot, thanks to the yoga class and mediation.

One in five adults experience mental illness in a given year, whether it be post-traumatic syndrome or the mental stress the majority of us experience on a daily basis.

This is when and why Philosophy and Under Armour hooked up together for #dontforgettobreathe,  for every photo shared on Instagram tagged with #dontforgettobreathe, philosophy will donate $1 up to $10,000 to the hope & grace initiative, philosophy’s mental health cause.

Marking the launch of philosophy’s take a deep breath oxygenating gel cream and the Under Armour Breathe Bra, the two wellbeing brands join forces to inspire a movement reminding women that breathing can change everything, so don’t forget to breathe.

Plus, one percent of all Philosophy US net sales will go into supporting mental health efforts.

The movement begins with a co-branded inspiration digital video featuring U.S. soccer gold medalist Kelley O’Hara and YouTube star Nikki Phillippi.

In the video, you'll watch Kelley's and Nikki's morning routine, prepping their skin with Philosophy's Take a Deep Breathe Cream-Gel moisturizer then working out in Under Armour's Breathe Bra.  Simple, effective, straight-up. Take charge.

After detoxing your spirit and system with yoga, airing out your pores with Philosophy's new oxygenating skincare, you have to replenish with a protein-packed brunch of ham & cheese croissant, yogurt-berry-granola, fresh fruit, fresh orange juice, and tea then relax with mimosas.

It's a way to give thanks to your brain and body for surviving and celebrating Awards Season.

Speaking of timing, soon after the yoga/facial/brunch, people trek around the corner to the opening of the new mega-"brick & mortar" Under Armour store at Americana at Brand in Glendale to check out and get new Under Armour gear.

This was this scribe's first step in a Spring time tune-up, new body, new skin, new skincare, and new active-wear.

A new you for a new season.
