Halloween Makeup & Hair to the Rescue, the Easiest & the Cheapest Way to Trick o' Treat & The Makeup & Hair Products Make Good Investments After Halloween & the Holidays.

By Laura Medina

This one of many reason why this sweet-tooth scribe loves Halloween way more than cliche, stereotypical Christmas.  This is the the only time of the year when blondes want to be brunettes; people can reveal and revel in their alter egos, whether it be a gentle beast or a sexy vamp or inner animal, we can indulge in sweets of harvest; and we can go all-out crazy in makeup, hair, and costume..; we can go all out in our makeup for everyone.

Alright, we're being cheap but accessible here since we're starting out with Halloween basics from Sally Hansen and Rimmel, y0ur reliable black mascara, red nail polish, and can't go wrong black as midnight eyeliner.  Even, orange nail polish is easy and cheap.

Sally Hansen’s Miracle Gel nail colors in Electra-Cute and Blacky O and NYC New York Color Long Wearing Nail Enamel in Black Lace Crème and Times Square Tangerine will give you that long lasting festive manicure while the Rimmel London Wonder Lash Lift Me Up Mascara and  NYC New York Color’s 24 Hr Eyeshadow in New York At Night will add just the perfect amount of Halloween spirit to your eyes.

Skyy Hadley, celebrity manicurist and owner of As U Wish Nail Salon, offers step-by-step instructions to Candy Corn Manicure with Sally Hansen products...

1.  Paint one half of the nail in white (Sally Hansen Miracle Gel in Get Mod) and the other in yellow (Lauren B. Coachella Valley Sun).
2.  Apply nail art stickers (hole reinforcers cut in half). Apply two on each nail as shown below.
 3.  Working on one nail at a time, paint the area inside the stickers with orange nail polish (Sally Hansen Miracle Gel in Tribal Sun).
4.   Carefully remove the stickers.
5.    Repeat on all other nails. Allow 5 minutes for your nail design to dry and finish it with a coat of a top coat (Lauren B. Gel-like Top Coat).

First, begin by dividing hair into two sections down the middle. Spray hair with a generous amount of KMS California HAIRPLAY playable texture ($19.99) to create re-workable texture in the hair. Take the first section and begin to twist hair along the front down to the top of your ear. Once you have the twist in place, begin to braid until about halfway down the pigtail. Secure with a Scunci  No Damage Poly Band ($3.99) and tie a small light blue ribbon into a bow around the elastic for Dorothy’s look. Repeat on opposite side.

Next, take your John Frieda by Conair Loose Curls 1 ¼ Inch Barrel Curling Iron($29.99) and begin to curl the ends of each pigtail. This will create a full look on each side.

Finish with a spray of Philip B. Jet Set Precision Control Hair Spray ($30.00) to lock in your style.
