Coachella 2013: Get Down. Get Dirty. Look Good Doing It.

 Today is the first day of a 6 days music festival, split into two weekends...Coachella!

Coachella is...one, Spring has sprung.  Second, Coachella starts off the music festival season.  Third, Coachella sets the template for hippy "Woodstock-sque" Bohemian fashion and dress code.

Why the emphasis on boob tubes, daisy dukes, quasi-Victorian cotton blouses, and maxi-dress cover-ups?

Veteran and previous attendees have call this "experience," "rolling in the mud."  As the running epitome of outdoor music festivals, the majority of Coachella is all about camping or "tee-peeing" to catch the galaxy of music's hottest stars.  The lucky few have hotel rooms booked and even fewer are crossing into the pool party circuits thrown by the hottest brands in fashion.

So, it makes sense to cross-over from muddy field to pool in a bikini and daisy dukes to being properly attired in a caftan or maxi-dress cover-up.  Oh yeah, it cools down in the desert as it burns up during the day light.
