Rachel Zoe Ovarian Research Charity Sale, Rite of Spring.

By Laura Medina

Molly Sims.

Rodger Berman, Rachel Zoe's husband, said he and his wife, celebrity stylist, Rachel Zoe, had always wanted to do their annual Ovarian Cancer Research Charity Sale in the perfectly sunny, well-tempered Santa Monica, after years of hosting in the hot "dog days of Summer" in August, in the Hamptons.

Co-hosted by Molly Sims, every cent from this fund raiser, goes directly into Ovarian Cancer Research.

Obviously, Rachel was lucky to reach out to her fabulous fashion designer friends and donate their over-stock clothes to raise funds.

With them throwing this charity carnival for the second year in Santa Monica, they include top-notch skincare and makeup brands in selling their over-stocked makeup kits and skincare to bump it up a notch.

Whatever prestige and quality they gained, the lower sale prices for shoppers, yeah!

On designer clothes, it was a deep discount of 60% on clothes in all sizes.

For skincare, a shopper can buy a whole kit for the retail price of one item in a regular retail store.  This skincare-loving scribe bought a whole Skin Laundry Kit for a price of one moisturizer.

It wasn't all deep designer discounts.

Rachel Zoe's Ovarian Research Fundraiser Sale is also prime time to debut new cosmetic lines, such as Mary Kay's new sassy makeup line in "click & clack" compacts with customized slots, cheeks & lips tinted tubes, and dual-ended eye shadows and liners.

Mary Kay had a DIY floral crown crafting table for Spring.

Actual cancer patients and survivors and their families are absolutely welcomed.

Don't forget the boys.  Since Rachel has two sons, she was thoughtfully installed an Urban Golf put-put course and a L.A. Lakers basketball shoot, so the guys wouldn't be bored.

There was a doggy park for fur babies.

Of course, since it's all-day charity event, folks happily feasted on a gourmet buffet.

Let's admit it, Rachel Zoe's cachet does attract a certain league of shoppers, the Influentials.

Brand launches do align themselves with the charity.

The interesting part is that Chrysler is aiming towards fashion-forward, professional women.

This scribe had fun riding Chrysler's new 300 Sedan with a woman test-driver, experiencing the full-features and ride.

Rachel Zoe's Ovarian Research Fundraiser isn't your typical charity sale.  It's a fundraiser that raises the bar for all other charity sales.
