"ARNOLD,," Arnold Schwarzenegger had a Questions & Answers Discussion About His Life Thru Photos, "ARNOLD" by Taschen Followed by "Terminator 2."

 By Laura Medina

Arnold  Schwarenegger's Questions and Answers talk was a mini, live version of his Netflix documentary, "Arnold," while promoting his life story in photos by Taschen, "ARNOLD."

He said making that book was like producing a movie.  It was ten years in a making.  It costs a lot of money. He mentioned getting publishing rights from living photographers is easy but getting rights from dead photographers is tough.  He and Taschen have to research then track down the living heirs of the late photographers' estate.  When he was Mr. Universe through-out the Seventies, he was photographed by late, legendary fashion and art photographers.  In compiling his Taschen book, he has to deal with a late photographer's accountant to gain access to publish the photos from fifty to forty years ago.

Arnold refuses to call himself, a self-made man.  He's humble and honest enough to acknowledge a many of mentors who helped and advised at every stage in life.

Then, the audience watched "Terminator 2."

LA Magazine's Pride Brunch Q&A Panel Dive Deep Beyond the Glam Gloss While Angeleno Magazine Kicks Off Pride Month.

 By Laura Medina

Fitness instructor, Lacey Stone and fashion promoter, Mikey Koffman, helped Angeleno Magazine kickstart June as Pride Month.

There has been some  love, as well as some controversy regarding social progress and acceptance.

This is what LA Magazine's Pride Brunch was all about.  Gathering together for a lavish brunch, gay luminaries threw a Questions & Answers panel about the history, the current state, and the future of LGBT+Q community.

George Takai was tremendously graceful talking about him and his family being thrown into Japanese-American concentration.camps, based on racism, then having to restart in Boyle Heights.  That's when his awareness happened, not only for him, but for other boys, too.

Another gay panelist, talked about normalizing being LGBT+Q, because focusing on differences, stereotypes, and ignorance are what fuel segregation.

What started in one night, moved to one afternoon then grew into one week then it morphed into one month, but it'll never get complacent.

Nikki Lane For Desert Dogs & the Righteous Gemstones During Father's Day Weekend.

 By Laura Medina

Father's Day is simpler than Mother's Day.

It was a dog day afternoon, last Saturday when Nikki Lane rocked the stage for Desert Dogs.
She thought it was funny she was headlining in a dog park.
Desert Dogs was Sragecoach for dogs.

Father's Day, itself, was the same night HBO's "The Righteous Gemstones" Season 3 premiered.
There's no better way to celebrate both by a monster truck pop-up where a Church's Fried Chicken foood truck gave out free 2-piece tenders meal and promotional swag.

This is all dad needs and wants, good country music, lovable dogs, a monster truck, free fried chicken, and some free HBO swag.
