These two singers had already made a splash back home in Australia and Mexico but they don't consider themselves stars until they break-through the American market.
This scribe was lucky enough to catch them dipping their toes in the American Music Market in intimate settings.
Phebe Starr dipped her toes at SkyBar's Music Tuesday series..; and they're free.
Before that, she make a big splash at "Phebe Starr: Live from Austin" which aired Friday, July 29, at 8:00 PM ET/PT on AUDIENCE Network, DIRECTV Ch 239/U-verse Ch 1114.
The rooftop performance and in-depth interview with the Australia-born/Los Angeles-based starlet Phebe Starr was filmed live this past March in Austin, TX. Phebe Starr just released a new single "Lavender Scars" available now (here), look out for her new EP titled Chronicles this year.
"'Live from Austin' was so much fun it was one of my first shows at SXSW," Phebe explains. "We were on a rooftop with an amazing crowd and I ended up opening up for 2 CHAINZ!!"
In a few months, she'll make formal debut performances at:

A two weeks later, a new form of Mexican pride and contemporary Mexican music came out in the last-minute with help from Jack Daniel’s “Amplify Your Life.”
Fashion and booze has taken over the embattled record labels and are currently supporting emerging musical talents; and talents see there is nothing wrong in having a fairy godparent, in whatever form it takes.
Jack Daniel took over the renovated Mack Sennett Studiosin the rebounded Silver Lake neighborhood, with darn good Moscow Mules and Jack & Coke.
Victoria La Mala came a guns a blazing with contemporary guitarist-slinger, Angelica Rahe.
Victoria may be a proud Mexican but she's still a Millennial. Having current R&B and Hip-Hop influencing her childhood equally as her native Mexican Regional music, Victoria La Mala is the new face of Mexican Contemporary Music and Mexico Now...proud to be a Mexican and a woman.
You can catch rising stars that are on a path to becoming bonafide stars at SkyBar's "Tuesday Music" and Jack Daniel’s “Amplify Your Life” series at Mack Sennett Studios.
