Happy Birthday for post-modern Southern Cuisine Sadie's Kitchen & Lounge for making to two years anniversary.

Sadie's Kitchen knew the right person to help them in their birthday party, fashion-meets-culture ringmaster, Project Ethos' Jason Peskin.

Knowing this is the restaurant (aka "the food & booze") biz, Chef Jonathan Moulton and his crew jumped on it right away, manning the buffet table and him shucking oysters immediately.  This fashionable foodie was the lucky first to shuck down a fresh one.

The bar staff already positioned punch bowls of neon-green Midori punch that taste a lot like liquefied Green Apple Jolly Ranchers.

This is the official birthday buffet supper:  sauteed Broccolini, crab toast, and Green Curry Chicken Tacos.

The Foodie crowd and the fashion crowd are not mutually exclusive.  The crossovers between foodie and fashionistas do occur many a times, usually during cocktail events.  At Sadie's Kitchen & Lounge's second birthday, this is when foodies and fashionistas do converge and mingle happily.

The Fashionistas who moonlight as foodies and vice versa tend to be better-educated, cultured, and wiser.  They were wise enough not to pass up all-you-can-eat gourmet buffet overseen by one of Los Angeles' top chef.  Oh yeah, the Midori punch was delicious.

To quell the famishing foodies/fashionistas waiting in line for the buffet, servers were smart and kind enough to pass trays of the famed honeyed fried chicken hors d'oeuvres to nibble on.

Remember, Project Ethos were the hired entertainment and it's well-known for aiming for the cultured fashionistas who are also cultured foodies (pun intended).

One of the best-dressed party guests was also one of the headlining designer, Aleena Salman Khan in a smart, breathable black, satin jumpsuit with a butterfly applique.  She offered three fashion installations.

Remember, both Sadie's Kitchen and Project Ethos aim for and deal with an educated and cultured crowd.

There was live painter offering his paintings for sale then there's a painted lady by Neha Asar, cloyed described as "live art."

This fashionable foodie has found her tribe.
