Marshalls' Lilliana Vazquez, "Fashion is for Everyone." Join the Marshalls Fabulous Found Fashion Tour

 By Laura Medina

It is appropriate that Marshalls' Fashion Truck made a stop on the same spot as Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen star on the Walk of Fame, at Hollywood & Highland complex.

Angeleno Magazine's Hermonie Krieger mc-ed and host the event and runway all day to visiting tourists and shoppers alike.

Lilliana Vazquez, founder of The Cheap Chica’s Guide to Style & Marshalls' Spokeperson

When Lilliana Vazquez started her blog, "The Cheap Chica's Guide to Style" four years ago, she never thought she'll be a spokesperson for Marshalls.

All she wanted to do was let women know they can look good for less in an accessible, organized atmosphere.  Marshalls was a natural fit with her approachable, girl-next-door appeal.  That's how it came about.  She loves nothing more than the discovery hunt at Marshalls, a surprise find at a reasonable price.  They both vouch "Luxury for Less."  She's teaching women how to be smart shoppers while being looking great at the same time.

Lilliana knows as women, they live really busy lives...moms or students or both.  As much as she likes discovering finds at vintage boutiques or thrift stores...if she has the whole day to do it, Marshalls is a much easier and more efficient way to locate great pieces in a department setting at 60% off the normal retail price.

On this Fabulous Find Fashion Tour, Lillianna takes in account practicality into her trends forecasting.

Whatever is trendy has to be useful in women's daily life.

Every season, there are 20 to 30 trends that magazines report from the runway.  She picks a few then edits them down that will work really well for her readers.  Her basis are quality and affordability for all.  She knows not every woman shares the same body, the same budget or the same lifestyle.  She picks trends that fit all types of women.

Every season she picks 3 trends that any woman from all walks of life can incorporate into her wardrobe.

She always include a color trend each season.  The current color trend for this Fall is oxblood.  It is a great update to black and can be easily intergrated into existing grays and whites and black and camel.  Being monochromatic, within the same wine family, is new way to be polished.

Leather for daytime, echoes this scribe's sentiments.  Small touches of leather is wearable for daytime.

Last but not least, the ankle boot.  The wedge ankle boot is an equal opportunity for all body types.  Yes, the knee-high boot is great but not everyone can fit into one.  Tall or short or skinny or curvy, any woman can wear an ankle boot.

At the interactive fashion truck, women can stand in front of the touch screen mirror where they slide and pick tops, bottoms, and accessories.

As a virtual paper doll, they can transfer their pick onto their reflection then see how they look in their picks.

Like Lillianna Vazquez says, Marshalls saves a lot of time and money.
