Stayaction in Brentwood, Elaine's Bakery & Cafe and Illume Spa

By Laura Medina

Elaine's Bakery & Cafe, http://elainesbakeryandcafe.com/

Brentwood, now known as "Young Hollywood" or the new "Hollywood Elite."

Home to Ben Affleck & Jennifer Garner and Gisele Bundchen & Tom Brady, and Marcia Cross.  If you train yourself very hard, you might spot them at neighborhood hot spots, such as the Brentwood Gardens, the neighborhood's local outdoor three-stories tall mall on11677 San Vicente Blvd., Los Angeles, California 90049.

The third floor has underwent numerous permutations over the years, reflecting the locals' mutating tastes over the decade.

This recent late Summer/Early Autumn transition signifies the roof-top changes too.

On the left side of the arc top floor is Elaine's Bakery & Cafe, http://elainesbakeryandcafe.com/, is a light, gluten-free as possible, gourmet bistro decked out in a warm, ambient setting, matching the locals' taste for healthy gourmet.

Elaine’s Bakery and Café is a boutique neighborhood restaurant is just like the residents, attitude-free, scene-free affable bistro that caters fresh, seasonal, and wholesome food offerings to Brentwoodians that yearns for fresh, seasonal, and wholesome food.

Their decadent French macaroons and treats are gluten-free, from almond base and when possible, they use rice flour base for a lighter, airy texture.

The waffles are yeast-raised.  The crepes are made by hand and from scratch. The sodas are made with pure cane sugar.

Whether you're waking up from an hangover or nibbling on pastry, you can breathe in the Santa Monica ocean breezes right on the third floor balcony, watching the world go by.

Healthy never means starving.

Illume Spa, http://illumespa.com/Home/

At the opposite end of the arc is Illume Spa.

Opened by two alumna from Bliss Spa in next-door Westwood's W Hotel, Kathryn and Lexandra a.k.a. “Wizards of Skin and Wax,” best esthetics programs in the country with 30 years of experience between them.  They were trainers and instructors opening “Bliss” spas in the W hotels and “Remede” spas in the St. Regis resorts in multiple locations across USA and abroad.

Their own brand of skincare gels, creams, lotions, cleansers, and serums were concocted by their combined years of treatment innovation, product and equipment research and testing for different companies.  We are talking about their previous employers' quality.

Unlike some of their previous spas, the purple-themed decor signifies unisex.  Men need more help and direction than they realized, especially the waxing services for dudes,  http://illumespa.com/Waxing/.   Don’t see any treatment you think appeals to you – give them a call and they will customize a service one for you, even future moms.

Come to think of it, hanging out on the third floor of Brentwood Gardens, I'll live like your favorite Young Hollywood star, nibbling at Elaine's Bakery & Cafe then get illuminating at Illume Spa by a top-tier team of facialists then relaxing on the balcony watching the world pass by.

Go beyond looking like your favorite celebrity, live like one.

Having Fun with Smashbox's Fade to Black Collection

By Laura Medina

These scribe had fun experimenting with Smashbox's smash hit "Fade To Black" Photo Op Eyeshadow Palettes and it's universally flattering "Fade To Black" deep pink "Cognac" and the new desirable Black Cherry Be Legendary Lipsticks.

Smashbox's "Fade In Palette" is the one with the iridescent green " khaki with golden shimmer" that is dabbed heavily right in the center of the upper eyelid, directly over the iris to highlight the eyes.  The black with gold pearl smudged as eyeliner enhances the shimmering green against deep neutrals of greys and browns.

Smashbox's Be Legendary Black Cherry is the new "Vamp," a deep plum-cherry that looks like you painted your lips in merlot wine.

Smashbox's "Fade to Black - Fade Out" Photo Op Eyeshadow Palette is box of Prince's "Purple Rain" but the texture is velvety, not Eighties garish glitzy or chalky.

The color ranges from the softest pink to the richest black cranberry.  There are a multitude of violets and purples you can play around with, great for the Brown-Eyed Girls.

The pearlized Black Cranberry rim the eyelids.  Deep Matte Purple contour the crease.  Violet with multi-color sheen washes all-over the lids then the Soft Pastel Pink is dabbed heavily directly over the iris to pop out the eyes for bright but romantic look.

To keep you from drowning in "Purple Rain Goth" the lips are kept naturally nude with Cognac Be Legendary Lipstick.

Stars Stealing the Scene at STAR Magazine's Party, Tacori Dazzles, & DSW is Shoes Paradise on Santa Monica Beach

By Laura Medina
All in order: STAR Magazine, Tacori, then DSW Shoes.

This is a not-so-basic round-up of parties covering the full demographic spectrum of Hollywood.

The first up is "Young Hollywood" graciously represented by hot character actor, Jesse Heiman.  He is one of many young stars in a galaxy of Hollywood hotties celebrating the current issue of STAR Magazine at the Roosevelt Hotel's Tropicana Bar, outdoor, poolside club.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MGiZ5Rov4m8&feature=youtu.be

Quest Crew, the winning dance group from MTVs America’s Best Dance Crew, were the highlight of the evening, popping, locking, and flipping to everyone's delight.

The dashingly handsome but jam-packed with talent, the Eye Candy Twins, had the most jaded of Young Hollywood hitting the dance floor.

Swinging from Young Hollywood to Classic Hollywood, Tacori Jewelry threw a bash to celebrate its new  “Starlit” Collection and its new fashion “Moon Rosé” collection at the "Great Gatsby-sque" Greystone Manor.

Jazz vocalist, Jill Lamoureaux, warmed the glittering guests as they wait for...

Aerialists tumble on industrial-strength satin sheets and spinning on and in huge birdcages, oohhhing and aawwwwing the audience.

The stars oohhhinnng and aawwwing as part of the audience were the equally classy
"Mad Men's" Christina Hendricks, Whitney Port, and " Tia & Tamera's" Tamera Mowry-Housley.

Switching from jaw-dropping elegance with acrobatics to something everyone, women or men can agree on, great-looking shoes that look and feel great.

DSW Shoes throw an intimate but no less glamourous book release party for its style Book, "Do You Speak Shoe Lover? Style and Stories from Inside DSW", guide-type book from leading shoe retailer DSW, delves into the national obsession with shoes.

Steven Madden join the fete at the legendary Marion Davis Guest House on Annenberg Community Beach House.  Yes, that Marion Davis, Randolph Hearst's "girlfriend" while still legally married to his wife.  Yes, it was really nice of the Annenberg Foundation to rebuilt the guest house to its former glory to the joy of the party guests.

Roaming around, the guests were whispering, "If these walls could talk."

The reality was the industry buzz of...shoes and how DSW can help shoe-holics style themselves around their shoes.  Among the shoe-holics were actress, Mimi Rogers, the first Ms. Tom Cruise.

So, this is the round-up from the party circuit.

Surging into that Seventies Feeling, Pat Cleveland for MAC's Antonio Lopez & RZA for BedrockLA

By Laura Medina

One of the 3 Antonio Lopez Muses, Pat Cleveland honoring her Svengali, Antonio Lopez.

Right after interviewing Rachel Roy about continuing her Seventies vixen muse, "Foxy Lady" motif then discussing the movie, "Rush," rushing that lush jet-setter theme into the second year in a row, this scribe notice the Seventies and its relaxed glamour is hot right now, especially for these kids who are experiencing this the first-time.

Asking why there's such a strong Seventies theme occurring right now, M·A·C Cosmetics Director of Makeup Artistry Gregory Arlt said because of the current government shutdown and the resulting economic anxiety and the Mid-East turmoil, people are looking for escapism again, just to be happy and comforting to ride over the wave.

No different from Seventies' turmoil, oil crisis and Richard Nixon denying, people now are searching for something nice to look at and something fun to hear and wear, this is why Seventies' lush and easy love of glam is so desirable right.

M·A·C Cosmetics, as always, has its finger on the pulse.  Using "Antonio Lopez: Fashion, Art, Sex, and Disco" by Roger Padilha and Mauricio Padilha, (the men behind MAO PR), as inspiration for its latest and hottest limited edition, the legendary fashion illustrator's (one of the last great fashion illustrators) vibrant energy, brazen attitude, and love of life attitude and mentality expressed by his discoveries, "Antonio's Girls:" Marisa, Jerry, and Pat.  This scribe calls them "Muses" because they are.

Antonio Lopez's discovery and muse, Pat Cleveland said why they were jet-setters...it was the only way to shop.

According to Pat, way way back before the internet and M·A·C Cosmetics were born, you literally had to hop on a plane to buy that one specific lipstick that matches your complexion in Toyko then jet over to Brazil bacause it was the only place that makes and sells foundation that exactly matches our shade then back to Paris for eyeshadow that complements your eyes.

Whatever was missing, the legendary illustrator and svengali, Antonio Lopez would improvise with a marker or a felt-tip pen to fill out the brows or a real painting brush to sculpture and flush out the cheeks.

Fast-forward to today, thanks to M·A·C Cosmetics, you can go to any counter or boutique full of a rainbow of color, tint, and shade and pick whatever you want to choose.

M·A·C Cosmetics' newest & latest Fall 2013 Limited Edition, the Antonio Lopez Collection.

Asking Pat what would Antonio Lopez think of M·A·C Cosmetics releasing a makeup collection based on his color palette, illustrations, and drawing/makeup technique,...if he would be alive today, he would had die and gone to heaven then he would rise back up, grab the makeup palette then start drawing your brows and lips then start painting your face, your eyes, and your lips.

The three looks, a.k.a. "3 Muses:" Marisa Berenson,  Jerry Hall, and Pat Cleveland, all Antonio Lopez discoveries, as Pat would say, "Children of the Rainbow," a.k.a. looks for everyone.

 Antonio Lopez's 3 Muses a.k.a. "Antonio's Girls: Pat, Marisa, & Jerry respresenting '70's Ethos.

Each look or "Muse" represent the lifestyle, attitude and mentality of the Seventies Jet-Set, the ethos.

"Marisa" is that golden European who acquire that golden, bronze tan from generations of sun-bathing on Spain's and Greece's golden shores.
M·A·C Antonio Lopez: 6 Eyes/Bronze Palette to liven up the eyelids with pink, coral, gold, taupe then warming up a "Marisa" iridescent cat-like irises with warm brown.
M·A·C Antonio Lopez: Face/Coral Kit glows a beachy tan complexion.

What's really cool and Seventies legend Pat was really impressed, the top level of blush and highlighter slides out to reveal a big block of corresponding bronzer/contour on the bottom.  They didn't have that technology back then.

M·A·C Antonio Lopez: 3 Lips/Nude flesh the lips, tying the warm, tan look together.

"Jerry" is the All-American Girl/Texas Rose who just got educated and refined in '70's Paris Chic then wounded up dancing with Mick Jagger at Studio 54, it's the traditional All-American ramped up in bold and bright disco rainbow of...

M·A·C Antonio Lopez: 6 Eyes/Teal to bring out those baby blues.

M·A·C Antonio Lopez: Face/Pink for the fierce cheekbone sculpturing swoop.

M·A·C Antonio Lopez: 3 Lips/Red in matte and satin texture of bold red in orange, bluish-tone, and fierce deep scarlet.

"Pat" is the new generation represented by Puerto-Rican American, Antonio Lopez and African-American Pat, the new All-American Girl, that revolution that started in the Sixties then changed the world in the Seventies.  This scribe was a baby and a toddler in the actual Sixties, looking up to these Muses in the magazine, wishing this kid was one of them.  Oh well, at least this scribe got to interview and shoot one of them, Pat Cleveland, watch the runway show at http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Yb3glij_fBQ.

To enhance "Pat" cafe au lait creaminess...

M·A·C Antonio Lopez: 6 Eyes/Violet to bring out those baby browns, lilac, pinks, slate blue, and violet and of course, black.

M·A·C Antonio Lopez: Face/Pink compliments with M·A·C Antonio Lopez: 6 Eyes/Violet.
M·A·C Antonio Lopez: 3 Lips/Fuchsia.  Now, Fuchsia is a special bright, purplish-red that expresses the boldness, the fierceness, and the sensuality that uniquely expressing the desires and "joie de vivre" (that uniquely French concept of pleasure or living well) that was occurring in the Seventies, ok...hot love on the disco dancefloor to the dashing off to the best places on Earth just by jumping on a jet, a.k.a "The Jet-Setters" what we call the "Internationals" today, global exchange of concepts and ideas and lifestyles.  Pat Cleveland, the woman herself, is wistful about those days and is grateful to be one of those influences.
M·A·C Antonio Lopez: 3 Lips/Fuchsia kit has neon pink (precursor to New Wave hot pink), matte blue-pink, and amplified violet purple, so hot, so "Studio 54."
The 3 Muses was elegantly draped in easy-to-slide in & out and travel-ready Halston jersey-knit dresses.
Continuing on with the Seventies Ethos, RZA of the Wang-Tu Clan rocked in a black suede tunic shirt with a lace-up collar and marijuana plant bejazzled in rhinestone on the black.  Lush, soft suede tunic shirt with a Mary Jane emblazed in crystal on the back, if this doesn't say "'70's" luxe then this scribe doesn't know what is.
"Rush"ing into the Seventies Heat.

Tilth Beauty Lands in Evolue Beauty This Thursday!

By Laura Medina

This scribe had the rare privilege of test-driving this smart, all-natural skincare line that combines the sophistication of upscale brands with the purest of organic ingredients to have year-around radiant skin.

What happens when you combine the best of cosmetic chemistry from thirty years as Research and Development for mainstream companies, such as Avon and Elizabeth Arden then apply it to tried-and-true all-natural ingredients to make them better?  You get Tilth Beauty.

Using industry expertise and knowledge with cutting-edge technology to distill the pure essence from natural ingredients for result-driven optimal use, Tilth Beauty is a great marriage between modern-day technology and age-old, trusty ingredients.

How optimal?

This scribe calls Tilth Beauty's Gentle Poppy Seed Exfoliator, "the Coachella Scrub" because it foams like a regular soapy-scrub with a mere drop of water for a good clean scrub, which is important at Coachella because there's little water to speak, not a whole lot to pack, and after 3 days of rolling in dust and mud partying under desert sun and moon, I'll be dying for a good clean scrub.  Tilth Beauty's Gentle Poppy Seed Exfoliator should on every festival go-ers' list. "Coachella 2013: Get Down. Get Dirty. Look Good Doing It." http://luxurist.blogspot.com/2013/04/coachella-2013-get-down-get-dirty-look.html

You know you're at "transitional age" when your corner eye wrinkles ("crinkles") and bags are now popping up pimples.

What to do? Tilth Beauty's Eye Wonderful Serum is a non-drying, lightweight serum that delivers pure unadulterated peptides, Retinol, and Birch Bark Extract to plump up weary, sagging lids, perk up and brightens those peepers without pore-clogging oils and creams.

Another "friend with benefits" is Tilth Beauty's Aloe Restoration Toner.  It's one of the pioneers of "grown-up toners."  While the toners of yore or of adolescence are harsh alcohol-based paint strippers that strips away teenaged guck, these "grown-up toners" adds nourishments and gently "cleans" away pollutants while brightening and refreshing the skin.  The skin drinks in the Aloe Barbadensis Leaf Juice and Cactus Flower Extract for a plump, hydrated, and radiant skin.  It feels good, "Friends with Benefits, Toners that Add & Nourish the Skin, not Strip" http://luxurist.blogspot.com/2013/07/friends-with-benefits-toners-that-add.html

Are the ultimate Los Angeleno woman, an established woman who has the perks and privileges hitting up all the hottest parties and nightspots yet is conscientious towards the environment and water conservation and want to save time and money on water bills?

Argan Tangerine Deep Cleansing Lotion is another of your "Best Friends Forever."  It strips away that day's and night's gunk yet moisturizes your skin at the same time.  This scribe test-drove it all through Award Season's parties, especially the Grammys, An Serum that Cleans, not Strip, Tilth Beauty Argan-Tangerine Deep Cleansing Lotion, http://luxurist.blogspot.com/2013/03/an-serum-that-cleans-not-strip-tilth.html

Now that your skin is thirsty and hungry for all-natural skincare with an elevated palette, you meet the man behind Tilth Beauty and sample his wares this Thursday from 5pm – 8pm at Evolue on 357 1/2 S. Robertson Blvd. (between Wilshire and Olympic) Beverly Hills, CA 90211.  Since Evolue is a cute, little boutique, space can be tight during an event, be kind enough and rsvp to emily@thewoodsandco.com to reserve your spot to meet Tony and sample his wares.

The best news?  LA has met the right skincare, a results-driven technology with all-natural ingredients for the holistic, glam lady on the go who cares about the environment.  You can replenish and restock your Tilth Beauty at Evolue on 357 1/2 S. Robertson Blvd., Beverly Hills, CA 90211.

Bim, Bam, Boom! Today's Liberated Women: Armani Cosmetics' Premier Face Designer, Rhona Samuels & Fashion Designer, Rachel Roy

By Laura Medina

Rhona Samuels, Armani Cosmetics' Premier Face Designer, left.  The illustrious Rachel Roy.

Rhona Samuels, Armani Cosmetics' Premier Face Designer at Saks Fifth Avenue Beverly Hills' Armani Cosmetics event, "A woman has all of twenty minutes to groom herself."

What do Rhona Samuels and Rachel Roy have in common, other than this scribe interviewed them on the same day?  They epitomize today's modern woman, a woman on the go who need key essential pieces in her beauty and wardrobe that typify the hottest and the most current of today's Fall/Winter trends.

Let's start with Rhona Samuels, not just because this scribe interviewed her first in the morning but good skincare is a foundation of a polished appearance then comes the makeup/color and finally, the outfit or that one key piece then today's woman is revving to go.

Rhona just landed in Beverly Hills just as soon as she was done managing the makeup during Milan Fashion Week.  No breaks for this woman.  Fresh off the runway, Rhona, fresh off the plane, talked about skin texture as the key makeup trend.  Ok, she said bold, major eyelashes with a lot of mascara are the facial focal point but overall look was skin texture.  At Armani, the foundation or the skin has to coordinate with the textile that the models are modeling on the runway during Milan Fashion Week.  The overall makeup look from Milan Fashion Week Spring/Summer 2014, watercolors.  A wash of colors on the eyes.  A subtle hint of blush.  Soft sheen on the lips.

Speaking of textures...instead of passe streaks of powdered blushes and face powder, of yore, to sculpture the face, advanced Armani Cosmetics uses the latest in molecular technology in creating luminous foundations to create natural 3-D effects to sculpture the cheekbones and the face.

Rhona witnessed, first-hand, there were a lot of Italia fashionistas and fashionistos walking around in dewy, moist skin, not matte or dry but well-hydrated skin.  But for Spring/Summer 2014, they're switching gears from moist and suede to radiant (not glittery) and illuminated to naturally sculpture the face.  The general face texture is going to be glowing, dewy skin.  In other words, this dewy-faced scribe will fit right in at Milan Fashion Week.

Okay, let's get back down to Earth and find out how Rhona Samuels stays bright-eyed and glowing during hectic Fashion Week then straight into Beverly Hills.

Armani Skincare's Crema Nera Line

She can't live with Armani Skincare's Crema Nera Line, and she only uses two Armani Skincare products, Crema Nera Extrema and and Regenessence [3.r] Youth Regenerator Serum.

Rhona calls Crema Nera Extrema her "global cream."  It works anywhere in the world and any time zone.  The key ingredient is the South African Reviscentalis Plant, the "Resurrection Plant."  This hardy desert plant isn't much to look at while staying dormant in a ten year drought; but when rain does arrive, it sprouts bushes and leaves.  Actually, it doesn't take much water.  All you have to do is drop a mere drip of H2O then it springs back to life, imagine what it will to work-weary skin...it springs your skin, your face back to life.  It brightens and tightens, all in one jar, a 1.7 oz travel-ready jar.

Rhona uses Crema Nera Extrema all through Milan Fashion Week, flying to LA, and that morning.

Give it an extra boost and what might be a good beginner moisturizer for "transiting skin," Rhona's second skincare item is Armani's Regenessence [3.r] Youth Regenerator Serum.

Developed with help from Stanford University's Dr. Peter Lorenz, Regenessence 3.R technology targets the 3 levels of the skin with 3 powerful ingredients: ProXylan, Linseed Extract, for hydration, and Vitamin CP for brightness.

 Maestro Cream Compact

For the main makeup, remember the upcoming trend for both Fall/Winter and Spring/Summer is a well-pampered, hydrated skin (not greasy).

Since today's fashionista is also a woman-on-the-go, Rhona swears by the water-based Maestro Cream Compact.  It imparts coverage like a retro heavy cream foundation but the texture is refreshing light with  SPF 29.  Giorgio Armani was inspired by super organza, the world's finest fabric - a fabric originally used to create exquisite Japanese kimonos-to create a "soft-focus" foundation that is as airy and opulent as organza.

To round out your face, Armani Cosmetics debut "Color & Care" Lipstick, the first CC Cream lipstick on the market.  This scribe had the perk to be one of the first to try this CC lipstick.  They ought to add another "C" for "cushion."  As in, it cushions the lips.  It imparts opaque color coverage like those old-fashion drying lipsticks but the softness it imparts into the lips is just like today's lip balms.  The softness stays and so does the color.  Unlike lip balms whose color or shine fades away fast or the traditional lipstick that dries your lips parch, Armani's "Color & Care" Lipsticks stays soft and colorful, long after this scribe interviewed Rhona Samuels then went onto interviewing Rachel Roy...

The illustrious Rachel Roy striding to her Macy's Beverly Center appearance.

Rhona Samuels was really in awe when this scribe told her that Rachel Roy is the next interviewee.

She'll be glad to know that this scribe went straight to covering Rachel Roy while wearing and test-driving the latest Armani Cosmetics' sultry eye makeup, dewy skincare, and that marvelous CC Lipstick in classic Incognito rosy-beige.

Which is fitting considering Rachel Roy is the zeitgeist (a.k.a. trend setter) of the moment.  She has been strutting the empowered Seventies' "Foxy Lady" aesthetic for the past two years now.  It is only now that she had hit her Seventies stride with hedonistic "Rush" and "Mad Men" ending by diving deep into the Seventies.

Despite striking it big in the New York fashion industry, she still hasn't forgotten her roots.  Growing up, Macy's was the most upscale department in her hometown.  She still remembers that.  For her, the goal has always been how to make the most fashion-forward friendly to the everyday customer, the real women on-the-go.

At her Fall/Winter 2013 launch at Macy's Beverly Hills, she offered an easy guide to pick the ten key elements from her current collection but there is one particular piece that is her favorite....

Her Sweater Coat.

Cardigan-cum-coat a.k.a "the sweater coat" has been around for a good four or five years thanks to knitting and draping technology but Rachel Roy is one of the very few who had the bravery to bring back Seventies' Native American Blanket Pattern Knits into a draped knit coat thanks to today's knitting technology.

Oh, this Sweater Coat is her favorite.  This Sweater Coat was the stand-out piece out of Macy's Glamorama Fashion Show three weeks ago.  It makes her swoon whenever this scribe mentions it.  Rachel is a select few who has the guts to say if she can bring back the Seventies, she would.

Another Seventies-inspired piece that makes Rachel swoon, her deftness in creating bold, maximum graphic prints...then using it all-over a stove-pipe burgundy pantsuit and a contrasting blouse in white, even the color palette is Seventies' deep and luxurious.

Rachel gathered and mixed up three major Seventies fashion trends: the Native American knit patterns or prints; the Lower Eastside New York Punk Rock DIY embellishment and that iconic motorcycle jacket, and that louche but oh so luxurious Parisian love or animal print/texture (don't worry, it's faux) and black leather (again, don't fret, it's waxed or faux-leather).

How does all this apply to today's speedy, "liberated" woman on the go?

"Bim. Bam. Boom!" according to Rhona Samuels, this is how a real woman lives.

One. two. three...those are the basics how today's "liberated" woman lives.

The most maximum of skincare and beauty like Armani's Crema Nera Extrema as your go-to moisturizer, Maestro Cream Compact as foundation then CC Lipstick for color pare down your grooming routine in nano speed.

As for updating your wardrobe, at a reasonable price, don't fret.  Rachel Roy always think about bringing the freshest and finest of fashion at the best price for the customer.  The best bets to rush your wardrobe into Fall/Winter 2013 is the bold Native American Blanket-inspired Sweater Coat.  Against a basic black turtleneck and a basic black leggings/jeggings as backdrop, that Sweater Coat should be the stand-out.

A minimalist can get maximum usage out of Rachel Roy's graphic bold Printed Suit.  Wear the trousers alone with a basic black top (turtleneck for now, halter top for Spring), the blazer goes everywhere, and the graphic black & white blouse is the tunic of the moment, a fashionista gets three looks out of one outfit.

There isn't a whole lot of money going to waste; and there isn't a lot of clothes taking up space.  In fact, combine Rhona Samuels' skincare/beauty items with Rachel Roy's two picks, you'll get a travel-ready, global-trotting kit, just like those Seventies Jet-Setters.
