Today's dads come in all sorts of stripes and colors.  There are sports dad, the lawyer dads, the hipster dad, and the foodie dad.

A tie doesn't even cut it.

If you're cost-conscious, and who isn't, this week is Restaurant Week in Las Vegas, where participating restaurants on the Las Vegas Strips and the best restaurants that only locals know, are donating a portion of their Restaurant Week profits to the city's only food bank, Three Square Food Bank.

Here are some, not all, of the restaurant that fits every taste.

Honey Salt is the down-home, Americana Heritage restaurant that refined the American palate then focus on the simple but best quality fried chicken, heirloom vegetables (that are quite beefy to satisfy a vegan), and fresh farm-to-table salads and sides.

This Summer, Honey Salt is tossing in Americana/Southern Heritage/seasonal delicacy of fried Soft Shell  Crab Slider sandwiches in their Summer Picnic Baskets.

They say in the South, that cooking is in the soul and food is love.  Now, show some love for your dad.

Yes, the ole refrain of "A way to a man's heart is thru his stomach," rings true, especially in Vegas.

If your dad is hipster/foodie dad who travels the world through his stomach, you can't beat the affordable global tapas restaurant, by the way of Spanish chef, Jose Andres at Jaleo.

For a mere $50, he and you can travel Spain thru a three-course meal of lobster fritters and paella.

If your hipster/industry dad wants a dinner and a show, you can't go wrong with affordable, down-home, and gourmet Crossroads at the House of Blues in Mandalay Bay.

Cool food to go with cool concerts, he can't complain about that.

If your dad is an old-fashion "steaks and potato and martinis" man, then treat him to The Barrymore's Lobster Mac & Cheese, Filet Mignon, Pan Roasted Free Range Chicken, and Pan Seared Salmon.

Sure, Las Vegas Restaurant Week ends this Friday the 17th, but you'll save enough from feeding him that you can spare to outfit him with a new wardrobe from Thomas Pink at The Forum Shops at Caesar's Palace.

Dads get sweaty and stinky under the hot Las Vegas sun, give him a refreshing cologne at Creed, also at Caesar's Palace's Forum Shops.

Basically, nothing says "treat," like taking your dad to Vegas.
